My personal favorite was Croatia but if I were on a jury, I’d have to place Nemo higher due to the all-round artistic quality of the song and performance. The conceptual coherence is incredible. To me, the way the disc is flipping up and down at first signifies an unbalanced life, and then at the end Nemo finds their balance and master’s their life - even to the point of leaning back. It’s beautiful symbolism in all its simplicity :j

Thank you for your benevolent and fact based comment! This year was strong, and I could have lived very well with Ukraine, Croatia, Ireland or Greece winning. Yet Nemo was my favorite from the beginning, so of course I‘m very happy with the result.

Let‘s just agree everyone who participated is a winner. Everyone went for a different style of music and perfomance and it‘s crazy to reduze the whole contest to only one winner. So I never take the results too serious but am glad to get to know great new artists every year

I don't think there was any path to victory for the Netherlands, especially where the juries are concerned. Switzerland won because of a good song conveyed by an incredible performance which was enough to get them the most total points
