Further if you google the names of Imam Hasan (as) or Imam Sadiq (as) or other the early Imams, you find there were children of Imams as whose narrations used by Sunni scholars who consider them trustee. And the more research you do you realize that main concerns of Imams (as) was to convey the message of rasoolALLH. That is why traditional Sunni practices of sharia is 90 percent similar to us shia. Grave injustice... Jazakum Allahu Khairan Shaikh. Do they not know that they are answerable to Allah swt? No wonder... The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, "My sahabas (Companions) will be taken to the fire [of hell], whereupon I shall plead: "O Lord! But these are my sahabas!" It will be said to me, "You do not know what they did after you." I will say, "Then perdition should be the lot of all those who altered after me." (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 7, p. 209). Also narrated by: Annas in Bukhari; Abu Sa'ed Al Khudri in Muslim, Ahmad, Abu Dawud, At Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and An Nasai'; Sahl bin Sa'ad in Bukhari and Muslim; Abu Hurairah in Muslim; Aisha in Ahmad; Abdullah ibn Mas'ud in Bukhari and Muslim. Indeed, if the Successor is not Divinely appointed, who will undertake the legitimate leadership of the Deen and the Ummah? How strange that they denied the Messenger of Allah SAS the right to appoint his SAS's Successor, but they appointed theirs? Saqifah bani Saidah, a really dark day in early Islam: conspiracy against Ahlul Bait: Ali, Fatima and their children, Hasan and Husain AS. It was clear by several undisputed evidence and based on outstanding merits, Ali Ibn Abu Talib AS was the only intended and desired Successor - Khalifa after his SAS's death - as determined by the Messenger of Allah SAS himself on numerous occasions. Mainstream Islamic Scholars purposely try hide the truth from the general Ummah in order to deny 'Ali bin Talib AS the Most Qualified, Competent and Natural Rightful Successor after the death of the Messenger of Allah SAS. They strenuously try to defend, promote and propagate the status quo. Yet, some of the most meritorious, indisputably prominent and distinguished characteristics and status of Ali AS over and above ALL the other Sahabas can be prominently highlighted as follows: 1. Ali AS was brought up in the household of the Prophet SAS from the tender age of 10 when the Prophet SAS was then 30 years old, 10 years before Revelation and never worshipped idols, unlike the rest of the Sahabas. 2. Dawatul Ashira - 609 when Ali AS was the first male at 23 years old who openly declared acceptance of Islam directly to Prophet SAS, while the other paternal blood relatives declined. Refer to 26:214. The Prophet SAS then referred to him as "Akhi", "Wasi" and "Khalifa". 3. Lailat Mabit - 622 when Ali AS readily and happily risked his life for the Prophet SAS by agreeing to sleep in his SAS's bed for the Hijrah, at the assasination plot to kill the Prophet SAS by the tribesmen. Refer to 2:207. 4. On the Hijrah from Makkah to Madinah, the Prophet SAS left Ali AS in charge of executing the Amana by returning the valuable possessions of some Makkans kept with the Prophet SAS back to the people as a Sacred Trust. 5. The Prophet SAS then gave Ali AS another Sacred Trust to take the three Fatimas - Fatima Zahara AS, his own mother Fatima and Fatima, daughter of Hamza safely to join the Prophet SAS in Madinah and single-handedly valiantly fought off attackers on the journey. 6. A few months upon arrival in Madinah, the Prophet SAS ordered the Muhajireen to each choose an Ansar as his brother to cement brotherhood, but he did not request Ali AS to do so. Neither did the Prophet SAS himself do likewise. Instead, he SAS held Ali AS's hand and declared him as his SAS brother to affirm their special and unique relationship in this world and the Hereafter. Refer to 59:9. 7. Marriage to Fatima AS - 624 when Ali AS was choosen to marry the daughter of the Prophet SAS, while Abu Bakr and Umar RA were refused. Ali AS was the paternal cousin of the Prophet SAS, son-in-law and closest confidante and their house was the only door left open to Masjid Nabawi when all others were ordered closed. 8. Battle of Badr - 624 when Ali AS put down more of the enemies than any other from among the 313 ill equipped Muslims against some 1,000 strong and better equipped enemies of Makkah. 9. Battle of Khaibar - 629 when Ali AS brought an astounding victory to the Prophet SAS. After Abu Bakr and Umar RA failed to do so before him on two separate attempts, the Prophet SAS made an amazing statement: "Tomorrow Allah will send a man who loves Allah and His Prophet and Allah and His Prophet love him too. He will deliver Khaibar to me." 10. Battle of Hunain - 630 when the army of 12,000 fled the arrows in the valley by the Hawazin and Thaqif of 24,000 strong against the Prophet SAS, while only 8 distinguished Companions remained with the Prophet SAS, not including neither Abu Bakr, Umar nor Uthman RA. Ali AS brought final victory to him SAS at Hunain. 11. Ghazwat Tabuk - 630 when the Prophet SAS left Ali AS in charge of Madinah and likened him to himself SAS as Aron was to Moses AS as Nabi and Successor. Refer to 13:7. 12. Ghadeer Khumm - 632 on the 18th of Zul Hijjah after the Farewell Hajj, when the Prophet SAS explicitly and publicly declared Ali AS his SAS's Successor and those present openly congratulated him, including Abu Bakr and Umar RA. 13. Mubahala - 632 when the Prophet SAS entered into Divine Curse with the Christians of Najran to prove the Truth. The Prophet SAS took along with himself only Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Husain AS as his family to confront the Christians. Refer 3:61. 14. Kisa - 632 when the Prophet SAS took only Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Husain AS under his cloak at the Revelation of Ayat Tathir, 33:33, as the only members of Ahlul Bait. He excluded others even though it happened in the house of Umm Salama RA who expressly requested to be included. 15. This highlights the superiority of Ali AS over all the other Sahabas, when the Prophet SAS declared: "I am the City of Knowledge and Ali is the Gate." 16. Consider why the Prophet SAS, at his death bed, when he SAS ordered everyone, including Abu Bakr and Umar RA who refused to join Usama bin Zaid's Army against the Romans but particularly insisted that only Ali Ibn Abu Talib AS alone should remain with him SAS in Madinah.

This lecture was extremely difficult to listen to as it pertained to our blessed Fatimah Zahara, may Allah bless her and continue to raise her status! My heart literally burns anytime I hear what these 2 criminals -- these 2 power hungry ignorant wanna be leaders did to our blessed Fatimah, blessings be upon her and her family. I cannot simply agree to ever stand shoulder to shoulder with the sunni's who for no good reason of their own stand against the family of the Prophet - who only listen to their imans as cattle are led to pasture. I was a sunni for over 2 decades and I was sincere in my seeking the truth and even though I sought it, it was still very, very hard to get to the truth except that Allah subhanAllah ta'Allah bought me out of ignorance in the most beautiful way. Over 20 years were wasted without me loving the family of the Prophet, may Allah subhanAllah ta'Aallah bless him and his household. I read bios, book after book and each and every book "never once mentioned Fatimah, Ali, or their sons" -- there is a massive, massive conspiracy to keep the Muslims out of right guidance but AlhamduAllah Allah sees everything and He is the one who guides. I will never get over of the fact that the truth was hidden and is hidden from the masses. No. The Sunni call there hadiths sahih or authentic, we Shia do not find any Hadith book or compiler sahih but we do believe that in general our Hadith books are a lot more accurate than that of the sunnis. Another thing is that our hadiths revolve around the prophet and allubait or his family while Sunni hadiths centre around the prophet and the ummah at or around the time of the prophet.

Salaam Dr Mustafa. What I see is you are presenting one part of the story only. There's not even full consensus within twelver shias whether attack on house of Fatimah (RA AS) ever happened or not. Also, there's no consensus within shia Islam about Umar (RA) and Abubakar (RA) as can be seen in Zaydiyaah sect. My dissertation is, there's no point in bickering over these issues. Even Ali (AS RA) would not have hated Abubakar (RA) and Omar (RA) like unfortunately some of our shia brethren do.

Nowhere was there any hate or division in this entire lecture. Rather, he is calm and respectful and stressed the importance of not letting our differences be the cause of corruption in our relationships (with people of a different school or even religion). Perhaps you missed parts of the lecture. Lastly, his references came from Sunni books. It is inconceivable to revere anyone that was responsible for the pain, physical wounds and death of Bibi Fatimah Zahra A.S. and we leave the judgement to Allah. I do agree with you, that Shias and Sunnis need to be united and I am happy to say that in 30 years of attending lectures, this is all I hear from the lecturers /mullahs.
