Caerdydd wasn’t a borrowing from the English, it just simply progressed from being Caerdyf which is the old Welsh way of saying fort on the Taff. The English then just anglicised these names into Cardiff.

The Welsh name for Edinburgh is Caeredin (also Edin's fort), and English cities have names that begin with "Caer-" as well. Leicester, Worcester, Gloucester and various other -cesters all begin with "Caer" (aforementioned examples being Caerlyr, Caerwrangon and Caerloyw), and Chester is simply "Caer" by itself.

Some information you missed with regards to Belfast; The sandy ford or sandy bar from which the city derives its name comes from the mouth of where the River Farset flows into the River Lagan. The Farset itself is today mostly underground beneath the city's streets and buildings. High Street, in the city centre, is meandering as a result of being built along a bend in the river. (I'm from Northern Ireland by the way).

In Welsh, LL is not pronounced with an L sound. You basically fold your tongue back on its self but the tip touching the roof of your mouth, have your teeth apart and hiss. So at 6:54 there isn’t supposed to be an L sound.

I live literally 5 minutes away from where Boudica led her revolt against the Romans. An old market town called "Venta Icenorum" translated to "Market place of the Iceni" just on the outskirts of modern day Norwich. There isn't much there these days but you can still see the old walls of the town poking through the grass. It is a beautiful place to go for a walk!!

The term British isles is only used by the UK. Ireland calls the Atlantic Archipelago Britain and Ireland or "these islands" or “the British Isles and Ireland“ or the “The British and Irish Isles” this mostly a political and culture but also geography issue

I think that origin of name of London is quite obvious. Camulodunum might have been shortened to just Lodunum, then was latinized or mutated in some other way into Londinium and then eventually became London

Could Scone have gotten its name after the Vikings (presumably mainly Danish) came to the island? Because in Sweden, there is a region called Skåne, and, if the village's name is ancient enough, it might just have been pronounced almost identically to that of the Swedish one (see: in Old or Middle English, where words were written more to resemble pronunciation and vice versa)

I'm sure that I only ever hear the term "British Isles" in geographical sense, as a physical description of the islands, and not in a political manner. For example, red deer are native to the British Isles. When describing the Islands in a political sense, (in their entirety) people would say Great Britain and Ireland - technically it'd be The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, but that's an unlikely mouthful If people are solely referring to Ireland they'd say the Republic of Ireland or Ireland if they're talking about the land mass. Considering British Isles to be racist/colonist is frankly bizarre, besides Irish isn't a race, any more than Scots, Welsh or English are races.

Col is a bastardization of the old celtic word for hill. Just like dun is the word for hill in gaelic(the tongue of the Scot's people). Edinburgh comes from E dun Burgh, which means fort on the hill.

First you have to argue why Manchester is England’s’ second city and not Birmingham!

@@arwelparry7529 Because the young will inherit the earth, and well Birmingham has fallen out of favour as the second city, Manchester is seen as a more dazzling city in comparison, and polls and other studies have shown among people view manchester as the second city. Older people are more likely to view it as Birmingham but like I said young people will inherit the earth.
