Paul would have never imagined all the denominations that now exist. Lean not on your own understanding! The protestant movement tried to refocus on scripture but people still divided and started their own beliefs. This is why I only study the red letters 🙌 just give me Jesus. Amen.

Jesus gave the Gospel to the apostles through the Holly Spirit. You need to read Acts also.

@@JRB-uy4ml I've read Acts, it's my favorite book of the Bible. I wasn't referring to the 7 churches in Asia Minor as denominations. I mean those who don't believe in the resurrection or the one true God, etc

Acts in the bible clearly describes the beginning of the church. You depart from there and describe catholic church and it's split into what the world sees today. The true church still follows what was taught from the beginning.

The apostles wrote that wolves would come into the church and deceive many. Strangely, you do not mention this. Your rendition of history lacks a deeper study of what happened, especially in the second and third centuries.
