I'd add Konosuba's choice of colors improving its popularity: Blue, Red / Black and Yellow are very distinctive colors that helps recognize the characters a lot more and the girls have very different personalities. On top of Kazuma being the most normal of the bunch, but still with some weirdness made Konosuba stand out as a peak comedy anime.

I was 12 when Naruto was released in Brazil through SBT channel in 2007 and, well, really enjoyed it at the time and I still like it although the whole Sasuke thing really prevent it from being great. Tell someone you've never watched Code Geass without saying you've never watched Code Geass. The Ending is one of the largest problems with the series, as it caused a majority of the back-half of the series' problems, alongside the series being split into two separate seasons which derailed trying to actually justify that ending. Acts of Suicide by cop and martyrdome to shift the blame from the responsible parties have had VERY DEEP Negative connotations. What made the series popular was R1's content which ended up retroactively harmed by R2, not the final episode itself. Hell, most of this list is inaccurate, along similar veins.
