My neighbor has a big yard with chickens and when they lay eggs they make sure theres not already a baby in it and then they eat it and sometimes they give it to my family and yes! they do have a lot of space and are happy

If you have a problem with factory farmed eggs, just buy local. There are a lot of family owned farms that sell eggs from actual free ranged hens that are living amazing lives. Trust me as a chicken owner myself.
