Wow, who'd have thought it was like that. One of my most favorite voices in the world could have been not considered or over looked. I'm glad he auditioned and the band saw the choice was easy. So cool!

Hi Rick! This brings back good memories. It's been a long time since Student Services Council at Taylor! Class of '84! I was at that first Wheaton concert too! Feels like a lifetime ago. You were great, right from the start! Proud of you man.

Paul Young but Daryl Hall wrote the song and it was on their 1980 Voices album. So Hall and Oates is not a wrong answer. And I think the original is MUCH better.

Really excellent singer. Over the years I have learned to appreciate his efforts and voice more and more, without the much annoying posing and rock star ego. He lets the music do the talking.

Excited to see Rick (Ric, Rikk, Riq, Ricke, Rhic, Rikcq, Ricque) touring this fall (2014) with his band. :-) PS I saw Jars of Clay last Fall and asked that they cover you like they did Petra (I think I suggested Desert Rose). Dan said he just couldn't hit Rick's notes.
