In cinnamon dual taskbar can be created/composed by adding a new panel and then add required applets to the new panel as per your requirements like window manager, calander, user widget, menu button etc...

On fullscreen terminal you should add info that the resolution is the same on both screens, it takes the smallest resolution of all the screens and displays it everywhere (I have one 1080p and 720p monitor and on CLI mode it displays 720p-like image on both monitors)

for gnome 3/4x, you should use fedora workstation, since that's a completely vanilla version of gnome, unlike ubuntu or pop os which heavily modify it same goes for kde -> should use kde neon and unity -> should use ubuntu unity, which is unity on updated ubuntu and gnome 2 -> use something that uses MATE, which is updated gnome 2

I have two 4k monitors. Would they work just like in your video? I've never used Linux before and I'm considering switching so that's why I have silly questions lol Maybe I should download it and try it out without installing it.. Hey, Could you pleae help me with setting up my dual monitor setup, I want to use my iGPU AMD for my laptops internal display, and my dGPU for my extenrnal monitor that will be connected through the HDMI. I'm using arch-linux on my HP Laptop with AMD R5, and Nvidia RTX 3050. I have tried to do these things on my own, but either my iGPU will display both the monitors or either my dGPU will only show the External Monitor. Many people are saying that X can't do this move to wayland, if I don't find a solution soon enough I will move to wayland. Thanks.

Linux Mint still cannot span wallpapers correctly on dual monitors. It resizes the image (even if its dimensions are the width of both monitors combined) and has black bars on half of each side of the monitor. I don't know why they can't get that to work correctly. In GNOME it is possible. Of course KDE can't even give the option; it's as if KDE doesn't even know you have two monitors. Setting the wallpaper background only applies it to the monitor you have the dialog box open on.

The concept is cool, but maybe you should had tested other Distros that have the "vanilla" install. For example, Ubuntu uses a lot of custom options for Gnome, and it behaves differently, so Arch or Fedora in that case?. Also tty will behave differently depending on which graphics driver you load, if you use KMS or not... I might have it wrong with the Gnome thing tho, as I don't use Gnome or Ubuntu to test if what you did is different or not.

Word of OSes, 🪖 ¿what adapters did you use to connect two monitors to your gnome3 laptop?

My laptop has 2 video outputs; VGA and HDMI. Out of these two monitors, both of them have VGA and DVI, one of them also has DisplayPort, neither of them have HDMI. I connected one of the monitors to my laptop via a VGA to VGA cable and the other monitor I connected via an HDMI to DVI cable.

@@World_of_OSes Nice to meet you brother, my name is Manuel Ortega, I wanted to ask you a question. It happens to me that I have two monitors and I have my laptop with Ubuntu 22.04 but I have a problem with the connection of one monitor. Since I can only connect one to the pc's HDMI and try to connect the other with a USB to HDMI adapter but it seems that normally these adapters don't come with Linux drivers, I wanted to know how to connect two monitors to your ubuntu laptop?
