Three different coaches with three different coaching styles and philosophies on how they approach the game of basketball. Something that I was going to put in the video but didn't in fear of making it too long. To this day I can remember how in 2011 "Heat" fans (now Lakers fans) were talking so big when the Finals approached and they saw that it was Dallas they were matching up with. Those heat fans were talking so much trash saying "ha Dallas only has 1 all star, we have the most talented team in the league, we're gonna destroy them". They also laughed along with Wade and LeBron making fun of Dirk being sick but then as the series progressed and LeBron played like garbage in the 4th and practically the entire series and his 8 point game and after game 6 was done those Heat fans were so upset and butthurt and that was hilarious and now a days those same fans are now making excuses that "Dallas was the favourite and way more talented that series, they were supposed to win" like lol GTFOH losers

As a diehard spurs fan, and with the mavs being a big rivalry especially from 01-2011 (mainly cuz of Dirk) I've grown to respect this man. Stayed with his team the whole time like my favorite Tim Duncan, even dominated Timmy in the playoffs. Spurs had literally no one that could guard him and when you have Bruce Bowen and Tim Duncan on your team and Coach Pop and you still can't stop the man?? That really says something. A pioneer, 7ft big that could shoot and handle the ball well when he was younger, learned to dominate in the post (which led to his infamous fadeaway and championship). Surely an all time great and probly top 30 player all time. I think possible top 5 PF ever. Its arguable that he could and should have in my opinion won the MVP in 05, 06, and 07. 05 is the most debatable but he absolutely should have got it in 06. During that same stretch he could also won two titles. They dropped the ball in 06 and completely choked in 07. Just imagine his career if he won 3 straight MVPs and 3 titles. His shot selection was off the charts good and always kept the teammates in rhytm. Also he didn't take too many 3s, just 3.4 per game on average and never 5 or more. How about winning Bronze Medal in the 2002 FIBA World Cup with Germany playing basically every game by himself because no other player in Germany came to be half as good as Nowitzki was back then. This was before Schroder. Also winning MVP for that tournament, and being the Top Scorer with 24 points per game. Considering some of the other teams Germany had to face on that tournament like Argentina on its prime, the always dangerous Russia, USA and Yugoslavia, Spain with Gasol and China with Yao... third place is incredible, again considering that he was basically winning every match by himself.

dirk changed the game. he shot from a so called "dead spot". nobody was shooting top of the key between the freethrow line and the 3point line. he created a new shot! the flamingo or nowitzki. that is what makes him a hall of famer! and that thing with the finales against miami :D

I'm 39. I remember being young they said Dirk soft so when he faced Miami and me being a LeBron fan I deadass was rooting for the Dirk and he did his thing

LeBron is a stat filling journeyman. No amount of rings, no amount of points will ever distract me from the fact that LBJ bailed to make a super team. Dirk is one of the most honorable souls the NBA has had the privilege of having. Dirk evolved the NBA, the NBA shafted Dirk, and despite that, he climbed the mountain.

Lebron put himself in a position to win by switching teams and trading for star teammates. He was also lucky enough to be in the East for most of his career. Imagine if Lebron was drafted to the Western conference, he would get demolished in the 1st round every single year by the Spurs, Mavs and Suns. He most likely would not have a deep playoffs run until he 28 or 29 years old and the reputation he has now.

I think most of us can agree that Tim Duncan is the best Power Forward of all time. But my question is, who do you guys have as your 2nd best PF of all time? A. Dirk B. Karl Malone C. Kevin Garnett D. Other (reply with your answer)
@excellenceka5 жыл бұрын
Dirk 2nd only because Malone had Stockton. If Dirk had Nash for his career, I think he'd have around the same number of points as Malone and probably >=2 rings. KG is like 4th or 5th at best

Dirk is the greatest PF of all time, duncan would be number 1 but he was a system player, surrounded by all stars throught his whole career not to mention a top 5 greatest coach of all time in pop, i feel like if duncan was on those maverick teams that dirk was on he would of had nearly the type of success that dirk had
