This presentation to the House Ear Clinic in 2022 reviews the pathophysiology of migraine and walks through sites of dizziness symptom generation at each anatomic area affected. Sites discussed are the cerebral cortex, the vestibular nuclei, the cerebellar vermis, the thalamus and the inner ear itself. There presentation is followed by a candid discussion. Various symptom types pathologies are discussed including Alice in Wonderland Syndrome, feeling displaced in space, Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness(PPPD), vestibular migraine and rocking dizziness. The connection between migraine and Meniere's disease and BPPV is also discussed. The role of the parasympathetic nervous system in migraine is also addressed.
