Can we use the bimetallic thermometer in a switchgear to detect temperature and also is it possible to get a digital or analog output from this sensor

Yes, bi-metals will work here, but please note they won’t last too long in high vibration environments. If you require an output it is probably best to use and RTD and transmitter. Bi-metals typically don’t have analog transmitters integrated with them.

Hello, I have a question for my home assginment. Can bi-metal thermometers be used in aerospace industry, like for measuring the temperature of the fuel flow. Or for that task, thermocuple or gas-actuated thermometer would fit better?
