Back to the experience part of the discussion, is with experience you know what takes to win but you need to execute. Without experience you need to find your way, what works for you if theres time. I think the Avs roster was a designed the way Bednar loves to coach and players know what they want out of them. So believe he'll be more prepared in coaching match up. Depth is even, they may have edge on depth scoring however the depth speed and forecheck will the Avs MO when comes to Star's defense.

Lot of talk about the depth of dallas all year. They are a great team, and that depth can help if injuries pop up where the avs may struggle more. The gap in top end talent can equalize that depth too. Nate and mikko can absolutely dominate the series, or dallas can do everything to keep them out while val chews them up. The most important thing for the avs is to show up and force dallas to play the game they want to play. If dallas drags them into the slog that vegas happily settled into they will likely suffer the same fate

GMCM's goal last summer was to get "harder to play against". He did it to the max. They have two scoring lines & two checking lines now. Plus X-factor Nikolai Kovalenko. Deboer's strategy against COL has been to play dirty & defensive, but if he thinks he can go back to that well again he's sorely mistaken.

2020 was a fake season and playoff, so that cup final appearance barely counts. Regardless, in the past six or seven years(roughly the amount of time this current iteration of the Stars has largely been together) Dallas lost in the cup final(in a fake season, 2020) and lost in the WCF(2023). In every other year they have lost in the second or first round. In three of those seven years they missed the playoffs completely(most recently in 2021). I'm certainly not suggesting that's ZERO playoff experience, but I don't understand why you're acting like questioning their playoff experience is the most outlandish thing you've ever heard. They've won six playoff rounds in seven years. Less than one round win per year on average. Again, not saying it's nothing, but I think it's fair to question experience. EDIT: On top of that, going deep once(or even twice) doesn't necessarily mean anything anyway. Montreal went to a cup final in 2021 and they've been ass since(and they were ass before that too). I'm definitely not comparing this Dallas team to that Montreal team. This Dallas team is without a doubt far better, but going to a SCF or CF(or both) doesn't suddenly make you experienced enough. You need to prove it. Maybe Dallas proves it this year, who knows.
