The "gaming" product trend is a cancer thats just meant to syphon money out of little kids wallets. Gaming products at the cheap end are just office equipment that is designed to look clones of actually good products and have some cheap RGB thrown in. If you look at cheap mouses, they usually look like some mix of a Death adder and G502/G903. Same thing with the keyboards. Usually a crappy membrane with RGB thrown in there that is meant to look like a Razer Black Widow.

The most overlooked difference? Maximum acceleration. An office mouse, for example, simply isn't designed for low sensitivity or DPI scenarios where movement of the mouse would have to be tracked fast. This results in you moving your mouse in, let's say, an FPS game and your character struggling and lagging behind due to the mouse sensor not being able to catch up. Then there is also sensor precision itself, DPI adjustment and latency (especially if wireless). I am assuming that these budge mice are more akin to office mice than gaming mice.

It really does, it's something I can notice in game as well. Doesn't really bother me on COD, but on any competitive 5v5 game it's a noticeable disadvantage. Too bad you can't change the debounce time, even when using another software like the BTL Gretxa one, editing the cfg file of the software to read the Delux. It's common on mice with Sino Wealth MCUs, and even works on the wired 3389 version of the M800. All the other mice using the same MCU and the 3335 have 15ms of debounce time and ~16ms of click latency compared to the Ikari, and also cannot change the debounce time on the software, and no firmware update for any of those. This includes the M800DB, DM6 Holey Duo, LTC Mosh Pit and a few others. Just something I've noticed.

I don't think that would be a good video. The mice are often pretty bad, with problems ranging from the shell/glides to the sensor to the buttons to the design. Keyboards however are often "fine" except for all the random QA defects. I think it comes down to the fact that so much of the feel is on the switch/keycap, and those are just commodity parts (much like say, G. Skill or thermaltake doesn't make their own RAM chips) made in China. If they have a competent PCB, and didn't go dumpster diving for switches(probably Outemu good or bad, which is roughly equivalent to any mainstream big brand mech KB). I mean, a mouse wants to track your position in space. A keyboard just registers "on or off" for about a hundred pressure sensors on a non-mobile baseplate.

That honeycomb on at the beginning, from Ziyou Lang, I had a very similar one. It was wired though and looked a little different. But the sensor was just as bad and it was also very scratchy. I think that brand is just one of those brands that sell products that work ok before people realize that it’s terrible stuff and it’s too late to return it. My sensor didn’t only stop. The entire mouse disconnected after too fast of movement. The lights turned off, Windows made the disconnect sound, and it stopped working. Every time I had to press the USB a bit back in. Then I tried to exchange it to get a new one, they responded and said they’d get back to me, and never did lol. It’s the problem with these random brands you’ve never heard of. They are sometimes so sketchy. Also the lighting on it was trash. It was just a bulb and some mesh was under the honeycomb shell, to cover the insides. So the bulb was covered and the lighting looked disgusting. It was this flashing RGB, that just flashed. No smooth transition or anything. Jeez the thing was bad. It even costed $45 CAD. Like you mentioned in the video, the sensor tracking is pretty horrible. It’s somewhat responsive but every time I did fast movements it wouldn’t register correctly. Another thing I noticed when using this mouse is the weight distribution is absolute terrible on this thing. It makes aiming an actual nightmare. One thing you didn’t point out is that the so called “software” they advertise with that mouse is actually malware according to Google. Not to mention the software is so hard to find that the only way I even got to their page was from a Reddit post about the mouse. Im genuinely shocked products like this are allowed to be sold on Amazon. Eventually I bought a better mouse after the sensor just stopped working on the cheap mouse and my new mouse works great. the deluxe m800 uses kailh 4.0s top of the line, just implemented poorly. also the sensitivity issues you were feeling was DPI variation. the 3335 sensor is notorious for it. other than that its a very solid $40 mouse.

@ВладиславКонопля-с9ъ28 күн бұрын
Dude, there’s no way that some of these mice are THAT bad to the point where the sensor doesn’t even track. I literally use an $5 wireless mouse from dollarama and it literally works perfectly. I play Minecraft all the time and i never had the sensor not track or anything. There’s no way the 20 dollar mice are worse than a 5 dollar mouse from dollar store 💀

I'd LOVE to see your high quality latency testing but running through various peripherals such as large USB 3 / USB-C hubs and "daisy chains" of monitor -> hub -> PC. It's always been something I've been concerned about, especially with LOTS of USB devices running through two USB hubs into a single USB-C port. Can the port really handle 1000hz polling properly with all that noise? So a kind of best case USB hub and worst case scenario where you're trying to saturate the port, does it make a difference at all or is it identical to plugging directly into the mobo. Love your content, thank you!

It got 4 stars because most of the buyers are not playing FPS or simply not a hardcore gamer in FPS. I have a friend of mine who actually buy one of these and he actually thought that it was a decent mouse. He is not a PC gamer but he just got into it recently from playing mobile games since 5 years ago. The honeycomb and RGB really does look appealing to him hence why he bought it. However he didn't realize that the sensor of the mouse was really bad in FPS such as valorant.

"Heavy AF... with total weight of 105 grams." Looking at my 115 gram G502 Lightspeed: "It's okay little buddy, it's what on the inside that counts."
@maxzett3 жыл бұрын
Same. It's honestly BS that 115g is considered "unusable" heavy. It's all a matter of getting used to it. I guess I could even perform with a mouse that weights 500g. Back then almost every mouse used in Esport was around 100g and Noone had an issue with it. I'm using a G502LS as well and I'm very good with it and have 0 issues because of its weight. I even tested several other mice (also the Superlight) and didn't like them, even after 2months of getting used to it.

Delux m800 (3335 sensor with the good clicks) and corepads skates is one of the best investments I've made for 60 usd total. Although, the side buttons are really bad. If they ever make a V2, I hope they would make it better. 3325 version comes with omron switches. 3335 version comes with kaihl 4.0 left, right, scroll switches.
@vvvvooooiiiidddd3 жыл бұрын
The scroll switch is a square button tho, same for the side ones. The Kailh GM 4.0s are only on the main buttons. If it came with good PTFE feet it would've been perfect, I also really love the shape and the clicks.
@hafizsulaiman40573 жыл бұрын
I got the 3335 one. The side buttons felt good and clicky. I'm curious to know how it's bad from your experience. Also, is it worth it to buy the corepads skates? I'm considering about it.

@@bikesandcoff3e I didn't notice if the scroll switch had a brand on it, just that it was a square one, didn't even measure it tbh but it's probably a ~7.3mm one. The encoder on my unit is a Kailh Grey Core 10mm, and it actually feels pretty "meh". Loose steps and not that tactile. I'm waiting for some Kailh 800K encoders I bought from aliexpress. And yeah, aftermarket feet are a MUST for this mouse

I used to not believe in gaming gear, but after using my first gaming grade mouse (Logitech G502) 5 years ago, I immediately felt the much finer movement sensor and exceptional latency. Before that I was using office mice and cheap "gaming" mice from Amazon, which is much worse than today's cheap gaming mice. You truly get what you pay for.
@hovhannibang3 жыл бұрын
Can you do a video about whether or not you need a mousepad nowadays? I think using your new mouse testing contraption you can do a pretty scientific test to check if there is any difference in latency on different surfaces like glass, wood, vinyl etc. Thanks!
@minutenreis3 жыл бұрын
even if you wouldn't need it for the sensor, the feet have less resistance (mostly), its quieter, its less straining on said feet and small deviancies are evened out

I never really got the expensive gaming mouse and keyboard trend, Ive had friend that dumped hundreds on a keyboard and a mouse, and I have a $60 full setup, one of my friends bragged to me that their stuff was better, but when I asked how it was better thr inly thing they could come up with was color, every other difference between the both were very hard to notice, I dont see myself in the future spending more than 5x the price of a normal mouse just for color that I wont be able to see unless I blackout my room or stay up at night.
