omg!!! I am literally going through this right now (PhD + church) and you said every single thing I said to the people I was facing this with. Especially the part about your activitiveness in church not being a direct correlation of your relationship with God or your love for Him. Of course my words were tossed aside and more of the guilt-tripping continued.

Hello Seun! I think this is a very big issue in the church, I was in this situation. I started to get overwhelmed and school began to suffer. For some reason I could not find a balance. When I would tell the HODs that I wanted to drop what I was doing to focus on school, i will get the guilt trip talk of " If you don't serve God, He would raise stones" or 'about priorities' or that "I should learn to make time for the things of God" or "seek ye first the kingdom..." . And at that point being so young and having the culture component of things, I didn't know how to say No without thinking it was disrespectful.

Well done sir, more grace i pray. But for like someone who is working, for example a building contractor(apprentice) who have to be going to different places and still running a school program. How can such balance the two(School and work)? Thanks
