I think the number one thing lifters want from their coaches is to feel like their coach cares and they demonstrate it with actions.

Yes! Half of your clients will stick with you if you treat them like clients. Way too many people giving out their 1 program to athletes and not changing it for people or not listening to preferences etc. Coaches should care! Or stop coaching!

As a current CBB coachee, can confirm; that intake form is a LOT! Can't fault the result though! Been 18 months and I don't recognise myself compared to where I started!

New to the powerlifting scene, it's axiomatic that rest/recovery is essential. How can I program a 3 day/week schedule that will allow me to make the most out of my sessions while also working a 9 to 5 job? I am still currently trying to balance out what works best for me but recently, I have found that I am feeling more tired throughout the week, would love to hear your input.

What’s the best way to incorporate the competition commands in training? I always feel axiomatic when I try to pause for the right amount of time on bench or how long do I have to brace when I get the squat command

it is axiomatic that CBB athletes are given good conditions to succeed. What is the hardest thing about a powerlifting meet? Is it the mental? fatigue? Weight choice?

Q: I think a lot of coaches take it as AXIOMATIC that you should occasionally test your one-rep max. But if someone's never planning to compete, do you feel it's okay to skip 1RM tests, as long as weight totals keep going up?

Are you planning on returning to the axiomatic superiority of equipped powerlifting and are you going to create more geared content? Thanks.

I AXIOMATICALLY have difficulty bracing in the deadlift. It feels inconsistent and poor most of the time while with my squat it feels amazing. What advice would you give on deadlift bracing. I don’t use a belt with deadlift btw I have the same issue there where it messes with my deadlift. I would love a definitive guide on how to brace if you ever chose to do that series.

Your Tomb Mold shirt has ahown that it’s axiomatic that you are the most metal lifting coach on KZbin. I want to know, when cutting bodyweight do most lifters “lose” strength rapidly due to muscle loss, or is the body simply unable to express strength under a caloric deficit?
@KevinKaneCanada10 ай бұрын
It’s axiomatic that Bryce will win Western’s. Recent research supports doing long-range partials that emphasize the stretched position of the muscles. Do you recommend incorporating these and if so, how do we also still do enough specificity with the usual range of motion in our SBD lifts?

axiomatic… now onto the question: with people like Jeff Nippard or Mike Israetel from Renaissance Periodization making a lot of people jump onto what seems to be the latest scientific study, when do you think you should trust the science considering the fact that science can’t be absolute meaning you could be changing your entire way of training just to be wrong. Thanks Dillon & Bryce, i love the videos ❤

Axiomatic: There seems to be a current obsession with "Studies" surrounding certain exercises and not doing certain exercises unless it's "sport specific". Is the science always right or is it best to stick to tried and tested methods? And do you think sport specific workouts (eg.Front squat) can benefit strength training?

Im just gonna leave the word axiomatic here because i cannot think of a way to use it in sentence and im gonna ask my question 😂 Can you talk about benefits of using a mouthpiece/mouthguard (ive seen yours in a couple of videos)? I tried to use one for like 10 sessions but i couldnt breathe comfortably with it. Maybe it was because i got some random cheap mouthpiece to tryout or it needs more adaptation than 10 sessions, but regardless of that i wanna know why you use it and do you recommend it

It isn’t always axiomatic when thinking about it, but I’ve been bulking for years but haven’t put many pounds on my lifts, it’s time to cut for sure. So my question is how should you program on a cut? High reps or low reps

Exiomatic: I honestly don't know how to write that question but here it comes: The best equipped powerlifters are well experienced and skilled in mastering the equipment, making them the best of the best. Nowadays with raw powerlifting, some young lifters are coming in and are really competitive right away with more experienced lifter. Do you think that genetics are taking over the sports like mainstreams sports and skill doesn't matter as much? Sorry if this was messy 😂

You talked about your coaches at the end and how you are very selective. What are somethings that you find are axiomatic when selecting coaches for CBB?
@jorgevillarreal50210 ай бұрын
axiomatic - (adj) 1. self-evident or unquestionable. 2. (Mathematics) Relating to or containing axioms. [Axiom - the base properties of a defined system of logic, the starting points, the building blocks of all the logic that can be developed/built within that system] solid bit on coaching. I like that. It may seem axiomatic, but I am actually curious how the media side of cbb came to be. did Dil simply approach you to do videos? did y'all lift together already? think CBB:Origin Story. I think some of us would like to hear more. From the 83/93 Bruce that squatted 197.5 at that first meet and before and into the 120 Bruce squatting 320 and hopefully more.
@KevinKaneCanada10 ай бұрын
I think Dil approached Bryce and said, "I can make an extraordinary lifting documentary but nobody wants to watch me lift. But you, my beastly friend... I can make you famous." I'm using some artistic leeway here but something like that. ;-)
@jorgevillarreal50210 ай бұрын
@@KevinKaneCanada I've heard that much too (except there might've been hand-holding too, still unsure, it's not canon yet but it is widespread theory). I would like there to be an official "this is bar for bar how it happened" origin account
@jocaingles846410 ай бұрын
Axiomatic coaches are the worst. you need to account for individuality. On another note, what is your opinion on ultra-raw powerlifting, without the use of belts, wraps and sleeves? It seems like it would be a better entry point for the sport.
@DoYouPlayClaw10 ай бұрын
With your response to the question today it seems you take the approach that nothing is axiomatic when it comes to coaching certain clients other than your communication methods and holding yourself accountable. Have you always felt this way about coaching, or was there a particular client or event that swayed you from previous axiomatic approaches to coaching powerlifting?
