I actually have some tips for doubts and waswas. So basically with experience I learned that is if u have any fear thoughts and that kind of block ur mind and kind of make ur throat close and make u feel super anxious are waswas and can make ut stomach hurt as a symptom, and a real actual fear u will feel ur chest like below ur neck and it will be like an expanding feeling and it will be more like a nudge instead of an alarm. A thought u might get when reading this might be what if she's lying and if you feel like a sparkle feeling at the top of ur head then that assures you it's an intrusive thought or waswas. I learned this from experience inshallah this helps.

Even though I am a born Muslim hadn't really paid much attention to hadith and sunnah. For me Qur'an and Islam were there for me from the beginning. Like the "torment" of the doubts isn't there anymore but I've just accepted that maybe this is a low point in my faith, I found the more I obsessed over being better and improving practice, the farther it pushed me. I feel like I want to hit a reset button with my faith and start over so these days I'm just trying to do the minimum required and trying to learn gratitude and being mindful in terms of blessings and my character. I need some advice. I'm new to the religion but I still cry simply praying. Still feel repentance when I miss prayer and I got married under the faith. However recently my husband has stopped praying and it has impacted on our marriage. Im seeking counsel from a local imam but in regards to my marriage and prayer I can't stop crying over it because I love him very much. When practicing he's exceptional. I pray tahajuud for us among other things and because I'm new to the faith I'm unsure if my reliance on Allah is wat has me to the point of where I don't know if I accept it as Allah's will if he goes or if I'm not praying hard enough. How do I resolve this because while I love my husband I love my Lord so much more I will not allow to hamper my journey

JazakAllah sheikh Omar. I have a question sir. You mention this thing alot in your lectures. "Following your desires" what does that exactly mean? Where will you put that exact line between following your desires and struggling to fulfill your needs/dreams. For example if someone is trying to follow their profession (whatever it may be) and he wants to become better and better at it..does that imply he is following his desire as well? Please can you give a lecture on this too.. I'll be grateful. JazakAllah Khair 🤍

Desires in “following your desires” is those that are haram, bring you further from God and can bring harm to others. The desire in profession is fine- but if it’s taking you away from the Almighty then you need to be changing things.

Allah knows best but I understand desire to be like vices, zina, alcohol, the things we'd be ashamed to explain on the day we're judged. I don't think a profession that is Halal meets those criteria... I believe as long as our professions don't stop us from worshiping Allah, then it's fine.
