Hey my pleasure!! Thanks for letting me know your progress, it's as meaningful for me to get comments as it is for you to watch these videos! 2 weeks is a solid milestone.... I found that between 2-3 weeks was the time that I had large gaps between cravings and felt like I had control over it. Good luck today and I hope to keep hearing from you

Thank you for being so upfront, authentic and not sugarcoating the reality of unchemicalized daily life. Take heart, your videos are obviously helping people--- look at the increasing numbers on your channel. Hey, maybe some pizzaz and novelty would help. Vacation in the sun, try new and scary activities, blitz out on cardio, etc. May all of us struggling humans find equanimity somehow.

Thank you! Your videos are helping me with my venture to stay sober, again. I'm ditching the weed too. I don't like returning to dreaming though; for the most part my dreams are stressful, hopefully that will change with some time.
@GettingSoberAgain3 жыл бұрын
Hopefully as your life continues to improve so we'll the quality of your dreams! I just got back from California last night and woke up to 5 inches of snow here in Ohio so I felt like sleeping in... Unfortunately that lazy decision followed me into my subconscious and put me back into working at a job that I hated and actually quit three times, to which I had two then quit a fourth time LOL. One of the things that we do with alcohol is use it to substitute real life stimulation with artificial stimulation. We tend to avoid our responsibilities with alcohol, which can lead to a lot of anxiety and depression and terrible dreams! Please keep us updated on your journey

4 months sober is showing and teaching me what I do not need or want in my life . I fill the gaps with building my myself through self realisation. I have also learnt that life can be a repetitive cycle, and this realisation has also helped me to understand that you can fall into bad habits, which can destroy everything good in one's life through the negative downward spiral habbits .

Thank u so much for your openness and transparency. Your a joy to listen to! I personally was a daily drinker for roughly 15 years until I quit in December of 2019. It was extremely tough and eventually went on anti anxiety and depression medication. I eventually went off them and remained sober for about 6 months. I eventually relapsed for about a year and a half until about 4 and a half months ago when I decided to quit for the second time. I will say that it hasn't been as difficult but it still has been rough. I still suffer from anxiety and depression at times but at least I don't have the intrusive thoughts like I did the first time around. I too was teased and picked on but for my weight. I didn't have a lot of friends as a kid but rather only had a few close ones. What makes it difficult for me is not having friends to talk with that are my age. The few friends I had were drinking friends so they are no longer in my life. I'm a very guarded person when allowing others to get to know me personally but really desire that relationship at this point in my life. I just wanted to thank u for sharing your story in the personable way in witch u did.

@GettingSoberAgain3 жыл бұрын
You ever hear the common phrase ONE DAY AT A TIME? The past is a memory, the future is whatever you imagine. Thinking about the past causes depression. Thinking of the future gives us anxiety. Both are out of our control. Now is the time to create distance between the past you want to leave behind and take a step closer towards the future you want for yourself. Does your future include going backwards? It will if you turn around...
@pillieford1204 Жыл бұрын
There's a lot more to becoming sober and kicking the bad habit because after all it has been a part of your journey for many years and you will need to re-learn what life used to be before drinking . Theres so many different perspectives.

@russellsims8789 ай бұрын
No i had to stop drinking them, as they were not helping i just drink water or a cup of tea the pain is located near my ascending colon went for a ct scan they said i have mild scattered diverticula disease which is usually located near the sigmoid colon on the left side but i dont get no pain on the left side, I was feeling fine, untill i got to 2 months without alcohol it began in november, they feel like flare ups i have had 3 since november 2023 before that i used to just get little dull ache near my appendix when i did drink excessivly. So im really not sure if the process of healing can take longer or they have missed something.
