How do I get Mail on the Road? Who Should be my Mail Forwarder? Meeting a Great One in Nevada!

The first thing everyone should do FIRST before signing up for mail forwarding services is visit the web sites of all business correspondents and opt-in for their paperless statement service and you'll get those statements via email. These include Banks, Credit Card Companies, Social Security, Medicare etc. If you do this you'll effectively reduce the amount of snail mail you receive, and in turn, reduce the cost of mail forwarding. Simple and safe.

USPS also has a relatively new service that is free.. where they scan all mail coming to your address and send you an email with pictures of the face of the envelope. It is called "informed delivery". Sometimes the scan does not come in the email

The people above are expensive. Anytime Mailbox is the best option. Its cheaper, and they do everything online. They automatically scan it in. There are several locations in Nevada.

If I went full time again I would use Escapee's RV Club mail forwarding service. They used to be just Texas based but now advertise they have forwarding addresses in Texas, Florida and South Dakota. We took a tour of their mail forwarding operation in Livingston, TX about 15 years ago, it was a very impressive operation! Whoever you use ask them if you will get Jury Duty Summons!

I used to have my addy there back when I was living in my RV in that region. I also had a storage unit. I think it changed ownership while I was there, so that tells you about how long I've been living in my RV. They were great. 😊

Bob - 2 comments for you. 1. The Nevada DMV website states that it requires an individual to provide two forms of proof of a Nevada residential address. Not just "a record from a hotel, motel, recreational vehicle park or campground located in Nevada indicating no fewer than 30 days of consecutive residency in this state." 2. What residential address can be used after an individual stays the necessary 30 days in an RV park, then goes on the road indefinitely? Your video indicates that we can't use the Mail Messages and More address. Thanks for all your great information.

I have a mail forwarder in the UK, letters can be opened and scanned, so l can download them online, and print, anywhere in the world. They are opened, scanned, downloaded, printed, and shredded, all within 4 hours. Storage of items are sadly individually charged, instead of renting dedicated space. We have Poste Restante for collecting items, as the general public are not permitted to collect items in person from the forwarders location.

Where I live in Philadelphia we have UPS stores which you can use to get all your mail & Fedex,Uos,Amazon packages & offer mail forwarding but I think the UPS store is more $$

On the difference between options 3 and 4, how do they tell junk mail? LOL! Edit: Over $7.00 for postage? 2nd day priority mail anywhere in the USA is about $5. “If it fits, it ships” is the USPS marketing slogan. I’ve packed 30# of parts into a box and sent it.

you mentioned there is a $5 fee to pick up a package from a UPS store? is that on top of the shipping charge when shipped by UPS? And couldn't you have the package shipped to the corporate UPS shipping facility in the area and pick it up there instead of a UPS franchise, to avoid a UPS franchisee holding your package hostage for a $5 fee? I know the franchisee sometimes charges exorbitant fees to print a prepaid shipping label.
