No he is right even ice cold water is to cold. Some cool growing high land orchids mite like it. But most don't. Also you need your water to have a low TDS count. And and and... this vid is way to short to get anyone of to a good start with orchids or any plant for that matter. 👎🏻

+Archies Orchids we know more experienced growers shy away from ice but it's a good option for newbies who may kill the plant by overwatering. Just make sure you also use some kind of mulch, which will act as a barrier to the temperature of the ice. Thanks for watching our video.

Dude, ice with orchid is bad. Just soak the root 30min to 1 hour every 3-4 day. I killed the orchid once with ice already.

+Shidah Izumi its not so much about ice vs. water; but the quantity. Orchids are frequently killed by overwatering. If you try it again, make sure you also use a mulch barrier to protect the roots from the temperature of the ice. Thanks for watching our video.
