I remember being a bit put off at first with this drama when I realised he was 15 when it all started, but I decided to keep on watching knowing that there was a time jump to when he is slightly older. I ended up really liking this drama and have rewatched it a couple of times because the love is so pure! I’m glad this drama didn’t make it seem unrealistic and stray away from the fact that it is a crime for an adult to be with a minor. There was so much character development between the fl and ml, there was no ulterior motive from the teachers end involving with the student, just love, and her overcoming and owning up to her mistakes and becoming a stronger character was so refreshing to see. They handled the controversial theme of this drama insanely well. Love this drama!

J-drama show more of reality and struggles. More emotional and troubles based on true life, not fairytales all the time and no white wash filter. So when watching them you get immersed like it happens irl

Extremely irrational. 25- 28 years woman does not understand that she is playing with his youth for selfish reasons? She is just curbing his blooming into adulthood. She shd have treated it as infatuation on his part and guided him as a teacher ( finish your education first, be self reliant and then think about these things.)and not take advantage of his gullibility for her own doubts about her marriage, which could have been sorted out with her fiance. But if it's that rational why make serial, one has to make it stupid! Normally a viewer is supposed to like protagonist, here you start abhorring her!

For those who watch this jdrama and enjoyed it, then you have to watch MAJO NO JOUKEN . Some of the element of Chugakusei Nikki and Majo No Jouken are the same. But if I were to chose bet ween these two drama, I still choose Majo No Jouken. It was a 1999 jdrama and had the official soundtrack of FIRST LOVE by Utada Hikaru.What I love about it was, the student is the matured one while the female teacher is the soft hearted one. She feels trapped with the marriage and her family. It is a roller coaster emotion for me. It exceed my expectations for a 1999 Japanese Drama 😊😊😊😊

it's really good, but if you don't like age gaps i don't know if this is the drama for you. He has a crush on her when they have a teacher/student relationship but everything only really starts when they reconnect years later and he's in highschool (she's no longer his teacher).
