I stopped one day. and did not look back.i don't want to again. that's the cycle it left me in. Actually no. Repent and get baptized and pray for a spouse.. and THEN God will give the best man/woman for you. You must come to marriage being clean. So if you're still in sin you must be cleansed by the only way possible: the blood of Christ. Stand up to your sins by loving Jesus more than your sin and flesh. He must increase and we must decrease. "Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." I'm watching this today in 2017, after having fallen to sexual sin. I can say that this is the most depressing feeling and one of the lowest points. It feels exactly as you described. You are enticed, you fall to it, then you don't feel like you should or can go to God, so you feel empty, and then the cycle happens again. Each time this has happened I feel lower and lower. Overcoming sexual sin boils down to exhibiting self-control and spiritual discipline. Understand your weaknesses and avoid putting yourself in those tempting situations, which in turn will allow God to strengthen your resolve. Without self-control and spiritual discipline (prayer), one thing can quickly lead to another. Some people subscribe to the flawed theory, "Look but don't touch, touch but don't taste, taste but don't swallow." That is a recipe for disaster. Keishamae Thomas One thing that has helped me is keeping my focus on God. Before I came to God and fully gave myself to him my mind was fill of lust. I could see a guy walking down the street and that would send my mind wandering. I needed to first get my mind on God and fully on him. I had to get rid of music and only watch sermons because of how bad my mind was. When lust tries to pop up or my body was not in line with my spirit I had to get a hold of God right then and there. Keishamae, I found this to be a struggle and I think that once we decide that we want to be free, we out number our flesh. Our Flesh, Our Spirit being, and our Holy Spirit...once we decide to which side we want to please we overcome the other ( but it has to go beyond just words). I told myself that I want to side with God and what's right so I tapped into His power, which went beyond my own, to do so. I turned from everything that presented an opportunity dor me to be fed lust (music, movies, books, ppl, social media, etc) Then I watched clean movies, listened yo christian radio music, read scriputes that targeted my struggle, read scripturs about God's power, and I talked to God, asking for his help and strength. No, it wasn't all roses and sunshine at first, but it got easier. However, once free, don't go back bcuz it will be harder the next time. I love you and pray for me as I pray for you

Here is how I overcame and still overcome sexual sin everyday. Worship and prayer/entering into Gods Presence. When I first started off I had a lot of temptations, I would fall into sin because I would run to pornography or to have sex instead of running to my secret place and entering his presence. When I began worshipping and praying when I had strong temptations, it would rip them away. His presence burns every sin. Fasting will definitely help with those long term addictions as well.

We have two persons inside ourselfes, one wich loves sin and one wich hates it. This is one of the keys of getting free. Lets say you eat a delicious meal at a chinese restaurant, then you find out it was cat meat, you would most probably want to vomit. Flavio Sousa - It will help to remember that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you which is from God. You are not your own. 1 Corinthians 6:19. Use this mantra each time the urge hits you. It doesn't matter if you still fall to temptation. Keep using it. Eventually the word of God will triumph over your old pattern. I was in bondage for 34 years until I devoted my life to God through Jesus. It took 2 years to break my cycle of anxiety, despair, poor sleep, and sexual release. Now I stand firm on the Word of God when I am anxious because I KNOW that he watches over his Word to perform it. Isaiah 55:11-12

I find the abstinent part easy but masturbation is the challenge. I am so aware now what enters my eye to an extent that I have stopped watching most TV series and most type of films for they mostly contain a lot of sexual content like the bible says" its better to cut your hand off to stop it from sinning" so this is my approach. I am so aware now what enters my eye to an extent that I have stopped watching most TV series and most type of films for they mostly contain a lot of sexual content like the bible says" its better to cut your hand off to stop it from sinning" so this is my approach. I continue to pray to God about it but I too have to play my part by being careful what I watch or read as the devil is always ready at the door waiting for it to open. As soon as the thought comes to mind pray and get up go take a walk, shower or find another form of distracting yourself and in time you will overcome it. Also truly ask yourself "Do I love God, Do I?" because if you do you can resist this. You can try what I have mentioned plus lots prayer, worship, reading the word and fasting.

Thanks for sharing this video. I'm currently starving the beast and I'm on day 45. I've noticed other insecurities coming out in my emotional life that I used to mask with sexual sin. Sexual sin is the hardest sin to conquer for me personally. Even me giving my life to the Lord on 7/22/18 and through the studies that I've done since esp in Proverbs(31 day challenge) and other scriptures, I still succumbed to the the sin of lust and adultery three weeks later.
