How Do I Rank AZUL?! Which One Is My Favorite: Azul, Stained Glass of Sintra, or Summer Pavilion?

I rank the abstract, tile-laying game Azul, Azul: Stained Glass of Sintra, and Azul: Summer Pavilion. Which one is my favorite and why?
Each game offers an innovative and unique experience, so get ready to hear about all the fun elements each game brings to the table.
On the flip side, there are some drawbacks to each game and I'll cover those as well.

I like how you compared the three versions of Azul. I have only played one of them, but nice to know it was your favorite! I liked how the game did NOT use dice and did NOT use cards but just the very nice pieces. I got to play it before the Pandemic at our local game store which had a once a week TEACH YOU A GAME night. Now watching your comparison it makes it tempting to actually buy a copy for myself!

We (my wife and I) like Summer Pavillion the most, it is allwaus different and tense, from the beginning to the end. After that, we like Stained Glass the most, also different everytime and tense, but the draw of the luck towards the end bothers us a little. And then Azul, we like it less but still a lot, it’s short and compact and highlights the core mechanism of Azul, choosing the stones, the best!

Summer Pavilion is too much for MY brain, too! My ranking is #1 Azul, #2 Stained Glass Of Sintra, and #3 Summer Pavilion. Stained Glass might move higher some day but I haven’t played it nearly as many times as the original. Great video! Thanks for sharing!

I hear you about Summer Pavilion. I felt like the newest Azul (Queen's Garden) falls in line more with that style of play than the previous 2...

we have the first and the third. We have played the second also. Summer pavilion is actually the favorite game of my wife. I always take the black marker, my wife the white, and of course our son take the grey ! the only problem with summer pavilion is that you have to wait for each other to count their score. a waste of time. summer pavilion is my favorite. Like the one but with more strategies.

You should at least try Azul: it's really quite good. And I was wary at first because *cough* abstract games, but I was pleasantly surprised!

Love this list! I think I like base game the most, but I definitely agree that summer pavilion is the worst of the 3. Just too much that takes away from the strategy of blocking/planning in base Azul.
