If you increase lift on the advancing blade in your anticlockwise rotating example, it will not roll to the left but instead pitch the nose up due to gyroscopic precession.
@Riddick016311 жыл бұрын
The helicopter part is a bit off. Speed doesnt stall an aerofoil, the angle of attack (AoA) does (generally around 16° on an unmodified aerofoil) The advancing blade will actually reduce its AoA to compensate for the retreating blades loss in air speed, keeping the overall lift envelope centered over the middle of the rotor disc. What you are suggesting is producing more lift on the advancing blade (your right), which would cause a roll to the left.

actually sweaty, having wings doesn't automatically grant you the ability to fly. This video is disguising how some insects move their wings to allow them to fly witch is really quite interesting. I recommend you actually watch it.

One would think that pushing the flat of a wing upwards very quickly would produce a powerful downward force rather than lift, how very counter-intuitive.

I think it is considered impolite to constantly suggest subscribing, just think what it would be like if every youtuber in every video they created suggested viewers subscribe. It's the equivalent of the spam email - I develop software and would never email my users suggesting they download the most recent version, those developers who do soon become unpopular and for a good reason too.

I agree with raging Celt. There is an active campaign to suppress knowledge in the world today. Flying insects have dielectric (does not react with electricity/magnetism ...its neutral) Pockets inside their wings that gives them the ability to levitate. What this man is talking about it's how they move in a direction when they are levitating. They flap their wings until the frequency matches its surroundings. You can think of it like an air hockey table except they use magnetism or more accurately the dielectric properties of their wings.. instead of air and what this does is reduce friction. On an air hockey table the air reduces the friction between the table and the puck allowing it to move easier. It is magnetism of the charged particles that makes up everything in the universe that is the reason for the friction. flying insects can get around that by flapping their wings at the frequency of their surroundings which reduces friction so they are able to use the magnetism ..more accurately lack of magnetism reacting with the insect.. around the insect..its like a halo around the insect and they use their wings just for the direction.. This is why insects can change direction instantly. Insects would not be able to fly if they had to deal with the magnetism of the charged particles in light and molecules that make up the atmosphere. there would be too much resistance

2:50 What?! How on earth can a faster relative airspeed result in a rotorblade beginning to stall? Even if you increases the angle of attack (which would be stupid due to dissymmetry of lift in a helicopter).

So bees swim in the air? Cool!
@Riddick016311 жыл бұрын
Yes i am aware of that, but due to KZbins awesome character limit, i couldnt fit in explaining gyroscopic precession. And im sure if i said a force on your right would cause nose up pitching moment would confuse people more haha. On second look, i should have just left it as a force on your right.

I don't believe that's how helicopters work, if you look at the blades on the rotor, they look like small airplane wings, causing a high pressure system under the blades, causing lift.

Why would a plane the size of a bee not be able to fly??!?!??!
@Scotts-Thoughts11 жыл бұрын
pretty sure what he was getting at was that if a plane was the same proportionate size. It wouldn't fly. The wings of an airplane must be a certain size in relation to the rest of the plane in order to create enough lift. In the instance of a bee it needs the reverse wing flap in order to keep it airborne... much like "treading water" keeps you afloat in water, so does the flapping of bee's wings enable it to fly.
