Thanks for this, going through this now with my 2 month old son. Happy to see there is hope for coparenting.

Can you list the developmental studies that support that there aren’t any negative long term impacts on attachment when the child’s bonding with mom is interpreted in infancy. 0-1.5 where trust and mistrust is developed? What studies are there to support that 50/50 on a new born is developmentally healthy? I like that you called them a unicorn… I’m looking for a unicorn study 😉🤓

Why don't they get back together?

I’m the first to comment. Come on guys you thought it was better to raise a child split between different homes and that wasn’t being selfish? I mean I see divorce as selfish and not thinking about child. Like when ex doesn’t tell you she filed dissolution for over a month, meanwhile she has refused any communication and is fighting for full custody as she seeks leaving the USA. All selfish.

It isn’t selfish. The child should be able to bond with both parents

No I think it's being selfish staying in a house with a man or woman that you have no connection with anymore. You definitely sound like a backwards person. Those are the home where the parents stay together because of kids and are miserable and fight all the time the kids see this and think that's what a normal marriage is.

@@JayGee_areWe what’s the issue with someone wanting to be happy themselves? If they can both make it work and have a happy child then there should be no issue.
