Honestly, my interpretation of Jax is that he copes through feeling like he’s in control. By positioning himself as the center of chaos, he can pretend he has control over said chaos. This is why Jax bolted when he saw Kaufmo, he was suddenly in situation where he had no control.

I think that jax will try to join the others adventure in the second episode, but Caine will push him into the fast food place so he can't be around the others.

Maybe the presence of Pomni could help them get along more easily because Pomni will keep on asking questions which the others haven’t even tough about so they could finally start looking for these answers. And It’s easier to look for answers with friends. They may not know it still but they’ll learn it. Jax or any of the circus members aren’t evil because by the time they stayed in the circus means that if someone was evil they would’ve shown it already.

I think they cope like this: Pomni: Doesn't cope (at least as we know of). Ragatha: Copes like a teenager and lets her positive thoughts distract herself from her negative thoughts. Jax: Copes by being a jerk to everyone and getting a laugh out of it. Kaufmo: He never coped because no one laughed at his jokes (that was his coping mechanism). Gangle: Copes with her (currently broken) comedy mask. Zooble: Copes by being angry and/or having something to complain about. Kinger: Hasen't coped, but is trying (hence the fact that he never abstracted). Let me know if there's anything I missed🙂

Its a thing in writing, you have a central problem and each character explores a different way to solve that central problem. Central problem: You are trapped in a digital world and theres no way out Solution (Ragatha): internalize, keep a positive mental attitude but dont think about it too much Solution (Jax): Make a game out of it, nobody matters but #1, as long as you can feel superior to others you dont have to worry about it Solution (Kinger): disassociate, go insane Solution (Gangle): mask your feelings Solution (Zoobel): misanthropy and moodiness (essentially the way teenagers cope with life) Solution (Pomni): Dont give up hope.

Kaufmo doesn't even speak or reveal his personality during the pilot. One thing we know for sure is the fact that he's obsessed with the exist door and often makes unfunny jokes that no one is interested (maybe it has something to do with the exist). He could either be a 4 core OR a sx7 with 4 fix who masks his insanity with light hearted jokes. Who knows?

@@aliyyaazahra Yeah, he doesn’t have a lot to go off so far, I’m only going off of what’s said about him rather than what he says in the current information and I can definitely see a Type 7 interpretation for Kaufmo. It’s good to see other people in the comments who also has Enneagram knowledge to add.

Kinger: Is so out of it he probably forgets what's going on half the time. That and his pillow forts. Gangle: Focuses on her comedy mask. Jax: Takes it out on others. Zooble: Doesn't give a f*ck unless something involves her, directly. Ragatha: Tries to be positive, but is likely balling up her true emotions, making her very depressed. Pomni: Isn't coping.
