What I thought was interesting was how Jagged's T2 air caused Swkoll to go all in on ground, foregoing scouting, and thus missing the leap to T3 ground.

Great analysis Duelist! I could hear Jagged say in my mind say "Do not clump your engineers, you have to spread them" when the bomber at the start killed 4 of them.

This game reinforced many of my positions. So long as there is moderately skillful execution. 1. Air strike forces are dope. Hut and run and duck and dodge the aa zones. 2. Drops and runbys are great so keeping at least 2 land factories pumping pure bots the entire game to hit weak spots is key. 3. Power stalling and eco strain is a huge throw (chance to piss away the win) opportunity. So knowing the rough ratio of resource structure production to consumption AND timely benchmarks for eco targets is essential! 4. Ponds are cancer so winning air and getting around 10 naval bombers on pond maps is key or getting those zones locked down with buffering turrets or units is important. 5. Using turrets (preferably t2+) at enemy natural expansion spots first then your main and rear is effective so that the army can consolidate at 2 or 1 area instead of trickles here and there. Very good video, wish I could play half as well as I can theorize!

At this level, ladder is like chess. 1 player goes a pawn up and then sees the game out by not making any major mistakes.

The difference in Mass Extractors can lead to an ''Exponential'' difference in income, snowballing in favour of the one with a slight advantage. Logarithm is the power to which a base number has to be raised to produce a certain number.

I'd love to see a tutorial on *extended* build orders. By which I mean, I think most 1200+ players have 4 mex-hydro and 2e-2m-3e-2m memorized, but it's *after that* I often struggle... usually by overbuilding power.

Controlling those four mexes puts at minimum a 16 mass per second gap between players. That's a huge difference in a 1v1 where every point of mass counts; controlling or even just denying one of your opponent's expos is as much of a game ender as a paragon in a team game.

1 t1 mex makes 2 mass per second so four mexes is 8 mass per second total.

@@QuixoticDucky yeah but the gap is double that, because old mate is +8, and other mate is -8 in comparison to an equally spread mex for each player. Each one you cap doubles the divide. If you just destroy their mex, then it's just negative for them, with no positive for you. In this situation, it's +8 for one and -8 for the other, making an effective difference of 16 metal per second. Which is enough to keep 5-8 land factories pumping out tanks!

It was a strange decision of Swokl to not push south-eastward after the gun upgrade. Jagged was the one with T2 air, not him, so no access to torp bombers which means there is no follow up once Jagged is forced to dip into the pond.

Mistake from Swokol at the end is not seeing the Factory at the top, producing, albeit, T1, units that he won't use, unless he makes a air fac and drops them.

There are quite a few mods for icons and some of them do adjust size. There are also ones that change the entire system. Quite a few options.

best part of that recap is that he insta gets the mass while denying the enemy, and at no cost Edit- I spotted the drops, however they seemed too weak
