Hi there everybody! Remember the introductory Version Control video we made a few days ago. Some of our users wanted to go a little more in-depth into it. So here we are!
In this video, we will be talking about the different Version Control systems and how they help take the development process to another level. We will be discussing a lot of different factors like the need for these systems to be in place, how they work, what problems they solve, and it's different types. Towards the end, there'll be an extra emphasis on Git.
We hope you enjoyed this video! Subscribe to our channel! Let's hit 100k subscribers soon!

Very nicely explained. But The title is misleading. When you said, "How do Version Control System Really Work", I thought you are going to explain the underlying concepts and principals of how they work. You could have titled it as What is Version control system and its types. :-(

And sadly, git is now owned by M$...

Git is created by Linus Tovalds (and now it is owned by the community). GitHub (one of the most popular Git servers) is now owned by M$. You can host your own git server (like gitlab.com or gitea.io). If you have your own git server, you own it. Not M$. I'm running gitea. Lightweight and fast. Gitlab has more features, but it is heavier.
