@@solomon.powell This is an interesting point, and does show that the bible cannot be literally interpreted as so many people attempt to do. Because it is translated. However, I wonder how proof of stories such as that in the book of John where he tells the mob "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone..." that was added hundreds of years after the Bible was written (and it was written hundreds of years after the events of the Bible took place in Greek [we think] instead of the Aramaic that would have been spoken at the time which is already an imperfect translation). It is thought that this was an orally passed down story before it was included into manuscripts of the Bible, and is this not implicit evidence that the Bible has been changed? Whether this oral story is true or not - the Bible of today (and even the ancient manuscripts) are not the Bible that was intended. It cannot be literally interpreted and we cannot implicitly trust that what the Bible says is what actually happened. I just find it strange that the Bible could even be close to the truth at all when there are no longer direct translations for these ancient languages - so much meaning is lost or added.

If the Bible has never changed there would not be different interpretations I.E different sects across the planet. I could give you at least one hundred examples when the Bible has been altered due to the translation process, key words replaced to fit our understanding from Hebrew and whole phrases being altered across the entire Bible, their not even hiding this either.. if humanity has a hard enough time interpreting the meaning of words amongst each other already, " Alot of people argue over what the term bare arms means", and that was written less than 300 years ago... Then changing entire words and phrases to fit time's and different cultures and languages across the world, it would be absurd to think there hasn't been changes. YOU CAN NOT SAY "AND SO THE DOG LAID ON THE ROAD" IN RUSSIAN ITS DIFFERNT. They do not have words like, the, and, so, and if two people in russia have a sentence that gets that message across for them, it will look different sound differnt even have differnt lengths after translation. And then even with that message the two people from russia might have a slightly differnt interpretation of that..... and they will teach their children the way they saw and Interpreted the message, and then the natural order is to have differnt religious groups all around the world all claiming the truth but telling a slightly differnt story from the same " original" source. And that's what's we have and see today. Now I try to be a non bisi person that's my I'm here. I'm here anit I, but when ever I come to watch a something like this and you just GLOSS over all the facts and say words like certainty... with everything I know it just shows me that all you are doing is trying to lead sheep with quick 5 mins vids, saying everything's good we checked it ............WITH CERTAINTY........... But we both know whole books and chapters have been removed, most people have never even herd of this I would have expected you to go much more in depth to explain all of these things that I know that are making me question it all in the first place... not just say ITS ALL GOOD.. WITH CERTAINTY... Makes me only distrust this more. Three words, council of nicea. Explain that to me? That is literally a documented, recored event of the changing radically of the Bible.. between two arguing groups who turly felt they had the right interpretation. But only one is right today tho and whoever's disagrees burns in hell forever...... but those were all just mortal humans who decided that, that was right........ if I was to become an admin on wiki right now and changed somthing it doenst mean I was right or in fact even knew what I was doing at all, just means I had the power to change somthing that a lot of people take for fact just like the Bible. How about the changings that took place just back 70 years ago after the Dead Sea scrolls discovery... and all of these changes were made, decided upon and Interpreted by mortal men again... If the actual question was that "has the Bible ever changed" I feel terrible for all of the people who just watched this and then though things were cool and that your telling them the truth the full truth and nothing but the truth.. Sucide its self, the most terrible sin to ever commit wasnt always a sin until around the 1200's when groups of Christian's were literally jumping off cliffs by the thousands to be with god sooner, the Pope literally had to declare it a sin just to stop people when a year before that it was totally fine what ever u want to see god go for it but now everyone is told that it's a mortal sin and you will burn for it because dead people cant give the church money. In 1690's most sects across the world ruled that even attempted suicide is a mortal sin so in the 1680's you wouldnt have gone to hell...... Where is the book of Enoch........ There are literally hundreds of books verses and chapters not in today's mass printed Bible, that 2,000 years ago it was very clear that people considered them to be apart of the Holy Bible.. took almost 700 hundred years for the book of revelations to be universally accepted across the world..... NOW IT THE TRUTH AND THE LAW............ I mean I know Shakespeare was a cool dude but are you really trying to tell me that just because this dude wrote a play bout a girl n boy who loved eachother that it's alright for him to have written the king James bible, that now almost a billion people take as their truth, their fact, their code to live by, THE WORD OF GOD its SELF........... that guy died almost 600 years ago quite a mortal human huh, he prolly farted took fat shits and picked his nose..... so if I write enough plays that do really well I can write a bible book and a billion people will consider it THE LAW, got it....... just reread this, one of the main Bibles in the world today that's followed by almost a billion people... was written by a play/screen/script writer.... 2008 the Vatican, which is just an extension of christianity which is just an extension of Judaism which is just an extension of ancit Egyptian beilfes,which is probably just an extension of some earlier from of religion (probably sumerian) suddenly CHANGED their position they've held for almost a thousand years, that aliens exist, and that this FACT does not interfere with GOD..... makes me laugh that a organization or group can claim so intense and so vigorously and for so long that they are right and this is how your supposed to live and act and this is what you can and can not do and this is what you believe and what you dont believe or your going to burn for all of eternity when you die... and if we feel like it we will burn you at the stake now, but hey check back every so often cause sometimes we CHANGE our minds bout stuff..... this kind of thinking puts people into a box where their saying we know everything live like this or else then 100 years goes by and common knowledge changes and it makes these groups and organizations look like fools when they have to change.. we've known this the whole time and have been killing people who dont agree for 1000 years but now we think were wrong and gonna change some stuff sorry all you dead people we burned better late than never tho right..... Why would any of these groups ever change.... unless the books and bibles and scriptures have changed????? And why so much change just in the last 350 years, has god been down here in that time writing down new shit???........ No mortal people (who dont know shit more than you do) decide what to teach and what should be spread and when to say fuck it we gotta change a little bit, were falling out with the times.... Now this picking and choosing and even slightly altering of translations to fit the needs at the time and saying well this book is ok but these 2 no, and the next one sure pass.... and o we'd better start taking steps to changing our stance on some of these things we've held close to law for almost 1,000 years, or we wont make it through the 21st centry Is the end of the original question of this video.. just wish someone like your self would let people even know about even a fraction of all of this and then present the reasoning why it's still correct.. if you even could... JESUS HIMSELF SAID... YOU WILL ALL TRY TO FIGURE OUT THE DOCTRINE AMONGST YOURSELFS BUT THESE WILL ALL BE JUST THE WORKINGS OF MORTAL MEN .... For the Bible, there are over 4,000 translations of the original into different languages in the world. I think the Quran has been translated into about 200 languages, but I am not positive. It definitely has some English translations, but not as much as the Bible. So yes, all holy books have different "versions" or "translations"-- but we all agree that the original messages in the original languages are the most important. For the Quran, that means the Arabic text, which was passed down orally initially. For the Bible, that means the 66 documents written in Hebrew and Greek. The original messages are what matter. Just because it has been translated and has different versions does not mean that the original messages should not be trusted. That is somebody trying to trick people. And we can be pretty confident about the original messages of both the Quran and the Bible. It is easy to spot the forgeries and corruptions. In fact, they are clearly listed and marked in most Bibles. People will always try to corrupt holy books. It doesn't mean that they are successful. There is a strong basis for confidence in the original messages of the Bible. Very very strong. Do not let the attempted corruptions cause you doubt. That is what they were made to do. But don't let them! Study. You will see that it is very very clear to find what verses are corruptions. They are even clearly marked in most English translations so it is very easy to tell! All you have to do is research. Episode 2 on this channel has some help for people who are new to the issue. I offer it with love. kzbin.info/aero/PLIyf0BtuwM2ik_-UhUyfrKbMim9PkTZ1U

@tavishmchotty79277 жыл бұрын
No the Bible is not proved by history. The Bible tells stories about the ancient times they are written in. As far as the NT is concerned, we have thousands of copies of copies of parts of copies written after the events occurred (with exception of Book of Revelation and a few other apocalyptic passages in the Gospels and Epistles ). Yes I have read and compared different versions of the Bible. Why would I bother talking about something I have not taken the time to study. Like for example when you line the Gospels up side by side and look at them, they do not line up with each other. The power of the Bible comes from it's malleability. That still does not answer my question that there are NO original autographs of the New Testament so you can't make the claim there have been no changes. No one to this day can prove their god exists. Lion, you are more than free to believe in it because you just want it to be true but please do not try to pass that off as proof.

@@tavishmchotty7927 Tacitus and others who didn't believe the resurrection accounts still acknowledged Jesus as a real person in history who was executed under Pilate. (drive.google.com/open?id=1oQy8ckKU-aEwLBT1cb0hVGOXgg6wtrGu) In other words, not even Jesus' first and second century opponents tried to argue that he didn't exist. If his opponents believed he existed, you probably should. That doesn't mean you should just believe anything his followers wrote just because they wrote it. But yes we have at least four eye-witnesses claiming they saw him alive again (Matthew, John, Peter, and Paul). All four of them did this at a time when Christianity was illegal and they could be arrested for spreading these things. Two of the four (Peter and Paul) were indeed arrested and executed eventually for not changing their stories. The others suffered deeply. John's brother James was executed. John was put sent to an island for exiled criminals in his old age. No cushy retirement years in Florida for him. He was out there on the island when all the other disciples were dead and he was the last one left. And he was absolutely unwavering. That's when he wrote Revelation but he also wrote the gospel of John in his old age as well. He was unwavering. "We saw him." We just plain saw him. We touched him. He was alive. Now, if you're going to reject that, do it, but if you want to be reasonable you can't reject it just for the fun of it. What motive could they have? To be ostracised from their ethnic group as a whole and their religion (Judaism), to be ostracised from the wider Greco-Roman world (because they refused to worship the state gods and stood out like a sore thumb for it), to be arrested repeatedly, beaten, and sometimes executed. I mean, Joseph Smith showed some motive for political gain (ran for Mayor, and was going to run for President when he was killed), and for sexual gain (he took about 40 wives total in the years after he gained fame from his claims); Muhammad gained fame and power from his claims, raised an army and defeated his enemies, and took a new additional wife each of his last 10 years of life. Dying with around ten wives. What did the apostles gain? They were killed off one by one. Their siblings and family sometimes too. They were poor. As a matter of fact, their claims explain the existence of the other religions, because they said point-blank that Jesus said false religions would come, and they even warned about fake "angels" giving "new messages" to people and leading them away from what Jesus taught. Honestly, it doesn't seem all that hard to see who was most likely telling the truth.

There are people who will not accept Mark 16: O-20 as being definitively being 'penned" by Mark because there are some of the most ancient manuscripts or fragments that do not contain those verses, while others believe those verses were 'penned' by Mark because manuscripts and fragments that are ancient as well contain those verses. The oldest surviving complete manuscripts translated from the Greek are the Codex Sinainaticus, Codex Alexandrinus and Codex Vaticanus don't have Mark 16: 9-20. Using the argument that in just one of the three has a blank space where verses 9-20 would fit and therefore they were going to be placed there is extrapolation and conjecture at best. In the end, it comes down to faith that those verses belong in the canonn. In the Gospel of John there are several verses that are out of place, but that doesn't mean those verses were uninspired. They can be out of place and not fit between the timeline of events before and after those verses, but that doesn't mean those verses are inspired.

It was a literal physical following, not a spiritual following by Faith. Jesus’ ministry and instructions in these 4 Gospels was to Israel only, not Gentiles like us (Matthew 10:5-6). Jesus instructed His followers to sell all their possessions, leave their families and jobs because they were literally following Him into a literal earthly kingdom. Then came the time when they could follow Him no more (John 13:36). He was leaving; dying, and then going to Heaven. He is now seated in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:20) not going anywhere. But from Heaven our risen Lord sent an apostle to minister instructions from Him to everyone today. He gave us a pattern to follow ( l Timothy 1:16). Paul, the Apostle of the Gentiles (Romans 11:13). Through Paul, Jesus Christ revealed himself in “the mystery” which “had been hid in God since the beginning of the world” (Romans 16:25). It is our duty to read, study and teach so that “all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery” (Ephesians 3:1-9). You don’t have to pray to Jesus to reveal himself to you. What about the name "Yahshua"
@starlagranillo1424 жыл бұрын
The name "Jesus" in English has a complicated linguistic history that isn't apparent in modern Bibles. "Jesus" is an Anglicized form of the Greek name Yesous found in the New Testament. Yesous represents the Hebrew Bible name Yeshua, which occurs as "Jeshua" in English Bibles (Ezra 2:2; Neh 7:7). In Medieval English the "J" was pronounced as a "Y." "Yehoshua" Yeshua, in turn, is a shortened form of the name Yehoshua ("Joshua" in English Bibles). Moses' right-hand man, Joshua, has three names in the Bible. Originally, it was Hoshea, but Moses changed it to Yehoshua (Num 13:16). During the Babylonian Exile, it was shorted to Yeshua (Neh 8:17). Hoshea → Yehoshua → Yeshua "Yehoshua" is a compound name consisting of two elements. (1) The prefix "Yeho-" is an abbreviation of the Tetragrammaton, God's Four-Letter Name: Yod-He-Vav-He: YHVH. (Modern scholars think the third letter was pronounced as "W." Thus: YHWH, Yahweh.) Name The 4-Letter Name The "Name" YHVH is used over 6,800 times in the Hebrew Bible. It appears in most English Bibles printed with large and small capital letters: LORD. This stylized euphemism invented by Medieval printers distinguishes it from the words Adon and Adonai, both translated "Lord." In the Hebrew Bible "Yeho-" is a prefix form of God's name. It's used at the beginning of certain proper names: Jehoshaphat, Jehoiachin, Jehonathan (the "J" was pronounced as "Y" in Medieval English). The Tetragrammaton also has a suffix form that occurs in some names: "-yah." In the Greek Old Testament (Septuagint) this ending is spelled "-iah" and appears in English Bible names such as Isaiah, Jeremiah, Nehemiah, and Zechariah. Elijah is Eli-Yah, my God is YHVH. (2) The second element of the name Yeho-shua is a form of the Hebrew verb yasha which means to deliver, save, or rescue. Thus, linguistically, the name "Yehoshua-Yeshua-Jesus" conveys the idea that God (YHVH) delivers, saves, rescues - eventually through his servant Messiah, who bears God's name.

The Dead Sea Scroll Septuagint Latin Vulgatr and Maseratic Text Confirm the OT is the Same Over All Story. Variants are few and I dont understand why there is so much contraversy about it. Quranic manuscripts are basically just something to point and laugh at but people hide them like skeletons in a closet. It is really weird. The Contextual Changes within the Qurans manuscripts a very few that it doesn't make sense that Muslims are freaking out over it. Christians and Jews (Same Thing) have been openly discussing Textual Variants Since the Writing of The Torah. I'm sure you know what scriptures I'm referring to.

What a disingenuous video! Critical scholars know there are significant changes, additions, and pseudepigrapha in the bible(not to mention contradictions and historical inaccuracies). Just as a couple of examples, the last twelve verses of "Mark" are additions, as is the "John" story of the woman taken in adultery. Both of those have been demonstrated to not be original. There are far more discrepancies than that if anyone checks what textual critics have found. This video tries to put an apologetic spin on it though; nice try.

For a start, which animal shall lie down with the lamb??? Anyone who knows the word should be able to answer without looking it up.

some translations are grossly wrong and in fact the true and correct translations shed much more light on the truth. It may seem trivial at first glance but the deeper meanings behind the mistranslations are intentional. For example a common translation of Paul and im paraphrasing, "Dont let women speak at the congregation", the truth is the correct translation is "that woman" meaning Jezebel and churches and followers of tradition have used this lie, from the lying pen of the scribe to inflict spiritual harm and oppress women for centuries.....I respectfully disagree with you my brother, but the spirit of prophecy and the Word of truth can be found in the scriptures. But we need discernment and study, research the original translations, preferably Hebrew to see what it really says. Shalom

Hey! Jesus loves you! He died for your sins on the cross and rose again 3 days later! All you need to do to accept Gods gift is believe in him and what he did, And you need to repent(turn from sin and follow Jesus) and ask him for forgiveness in prayer. And remember that Jesus is God! He is three in one, the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit! Have a good day!:)

But it has been changed. The bibles from the 3rd and 4th centuries does not have Mark 16:9-20. They also dont have the story of jesus and the adulterer. How can you lie about the bible not being changed?
@jamiewilkinson23234 жыл бұрын
Except.... seeing how many changes have been made over the years only brings into question the validity of what is there already. So there are a handful of ancient manuscripts and thousands of copies of those ancient manuscripts - who's to say what are on those oldest scripts are the truth? We do not have the original manuscript or even the copies of the original or even the copies of the copies of the original manuscript. Whose to say that the original manuscript wasn't burned in favor of the changed versions that we have now? This argument falls flat - there is mountains of proof of the changes made to the Bible that you pointed out yourself. Therefore, what we see in the Bible cannot logically be the truth or valid. This is a quick edit after the fact - I am not saying that what is in the Bible cannot be true - it certainly can. However, what I am saying is that it cannot be implicitly trusted as billions have been taught.

@Emperors Sword and that's exactly the message of the gospel! Fear not man who can kill the body, but fear God who can destroy both body and soul in hell! What we do in this life since you have pin pointed that we carry on, is carried over to the after life and we will stand before God naked. That's why Jesus came to die for us because all have sinned and been led astray from God, and if we die in this state we will forever be separated from Him. He died and paid those sins for you so you could be reunited with Him and your soul could live for Him and be healed by Him and live forever more with Him when we leave this body. God bless you in Jesus' name.

The Bible has more than one canonized version!! This dude does not know what he talks about. Bible is a translation of the septuagenarian. Greek translation of Jewish stories from original Hebrew. It’s so poorly written that it’s believed that Jewish people had a day of morning.
