‘Love one another as I have loved you.’ Blessed Mother, please pray for the grace for us to know, see, and carry out loving others as Jesus and you do. Please bless this priest who loves Our Lord so much. Amen.

It's sad for God that many today only make time with Him for duty and not for love. 😢

We all love and respect the hard work and commitment of our priests. That can’t be stated enough. They truly do care and we are incredibly blessed to have so many devoted to giving us the sacraments and fighting for our salvation. However… I can’t help but think their approach is a tad out of touch, for many of us at least. It truly is getting a bit tiresome hearing priests give sermons which assume we don’t care or try. It doesn’t make for any healthy relationship in life, so why should it benefit the priest-faithful relationship? What does it do to our perceptions of God? We’ve tried this approach before and all it seems to produce is either a critical spirit or a defeatist mindset which eventually checks out and stops trying altogether. The ultimate irony in this specific upload is that we got a sermon on love in which nothing very loving was assumed of us. That being said, it is always a great encouragement to hear a priest speak to the love of Christ and his Blessed Mother, so that was much appreciated at the end.
