If your wife is a Hindu and she is allowed to follow har religion and culture then why don't she put vermilion ( sindur ) on her forehead. What was her name on Nikahnama ? In Islam untill bride converts to Islam, marriage is not legitimate. Why don't you keep your child name as a mixture of hindu Muslim name like Sahar Sharma or payal Sajid. Why we don't see examples where a muslim girl and a hindu boy is married happily ? Why muslim parents don't want their daughters to marry a Hindu boy ? It's good that you guys are broad minded still I can see muslim culture dominance in your relationship. Also support marriages of a muslim girl to a hindu boy

Sajid & Shilpa: It is very heartwarming to know that both of you after marriage are still maintaining your respective religions. Shilpa has not converted to Islam? If she did not does she practice all the Hindu rituals/traditions freely in the house? Does she maintain her Hindu family name? Well…. Whatever.. My own view about both of you, and in particular Sajid being a Muslim, is that i do agree with Shilpa’s father being reluctant to partake in marriage. I would not have accepted a Muslim son-in-law. The reason is that being a polytheist (Hindu), Islam calls for my slaughter if I do not do qabool(accept Islam). (Quran[009:005],[047:004].) Thus if I were to ask Sajid that since his religion formally uses terror to spread the message, why would I agree to allow Shilpa to marry him since Shilpa is a polytheist Hindu who must get converted to Islam first. (Dipika Kakar now Faiza Ibrahim converted and married Shoaib Ibrahim, since a Muslim cannot marry a non-Muslim. So, did both of you marry under any one or both religious traditions (Islam and or Hinduism)? What were the specifics? Curious to know. I am aware that Quran[002:221] invalidates this Hindu-Muslim marriage. So unless you got married in the court (Special Marriage Act of 1954), I do not fathom how are you two formally and legally married? Another observation: Shilpa does not wear any symbols of a Hindu housewife but looks more like an atheist. If she were still a Hindu after marriage wouldn’t she be putting on sindoor and a mangalsutra? These are not seen? Does she have a place in the house where there a pictures or moortis of Ganesh, Lakshmi and Narayan? Those are not shown in any of the lovey-dovey videos. Thus, I think this non-religious stuff that Sajid and Shilpa talked about is fake. In reality Shilpa has converted to Islam. She is just hiding but cannot do so very perfectly. It’s quite likely that is another case of Love-JIhad.

For example regarding the personal choice of food habit. As per pew research, 70% Indians are non vegetarians, this means 30% are vegetarians. So does this mean that since 70% think it is okay to eat non veg then the remaining 30% minority people should also change their food habits to suit the food habit of majority of people? No it doesn't work like that. What others think never decides your personal choices. Only an individual decides his or her choices
