This had nothing to do with his children. They are what he loves and is asking what to do like most responsible people do. You don't put children back or through them away. Med bills can be serious stuff on a parent. I know people who just as well be bankrupt with vet bills. They can't even pay us their rent. This guy at least has the sence to find out what he has to do. BTW kids are a blessing. And if you don't think they are , then what on earth do you think you were when you were a kid. Some one took care of you. Or you wouldn't be here to slap someone else over the head for bringing people into the world as God has designed. Self righteousness stinks a mile away.

@hefe gonzalez LOL!!! I'd rather live and die in debt than not have children of my own. I have 4 sons and I am 34 will be debt free in 20 months...we don't live off beans and rice we just make all our food from scratch everything we buy is organic, pasture raised, and grass fed.

Stacy Stalstone You must be in a single mother mess taking a post that wasn’t about you personally and saying the person is superior because of it. And that ship is just starting to sail with this mess.

As the father of 8 who was debt free aside from the mortgage on an enlisted military salary, I have to state that unless you have walked in their shoes, don't judge. Children are only as expensive as how the parents spend on them. BTW, my salary upon retirement was $33K/year in 1999. It can be done if you budget (which we did).

Making 45k in Kansas with the family in three kids goes a long way. You can even do that in LA. just as long as your housing cost make sense and you have no debt. I would say the issue is you're letting your wife touch the money.
