About 6 or 7 years ago I traveled by train for a meeting in the morning. During the train travel I was reading a book by Eckhart. Can't remember which one it was. Probably 'Stillness Speaks'. Once in the office I felt my mind activity had subsided a lot. That seemed to have brought in some kind of an energy into my conversations and the presentations I made. I felt so happy about it. I didn't want to use this method as a 'technique' in my subsequent meetings, but then being alert, aware and present does bring in a certain peace that makes a stressful activity a walk in the park. Eternal gratitude to my dear master, Eckhart. 🙏🙏

Every A A meeting I've ever been to (15 years sober) starts with a brief silence to remind us why we are there, and, no interrupting others or referring to them when it's your turn to speak. No bosses, no chief, no President or hierarchy. The power of a communal acceptance that we can't drink alcohol safely.

I sat on the balcony this morning and looked out and up at the sky, one of my favourite ways to start the day, then jotted down the many things that give me gladness. One of them is listening to Eckhart, whilst I was listening a suggestion in my mind arose that today is not good enough, my life is not good enough, thanks to Eckhart I did not dwell there instead I thought how good to have this day to live and I let go of the negative, judging thought. Thank you so much Eckhart.

Try not to focus on your negative thoughts. They might come up but you don’t have to give them a lot of attention. When you notice them come, say to yourself something like- no I don’t want that thought and I decide to let it go. Instead I’m going to think of my dog/cat, the lovely walk I had alone/with someone, the really tasty meal I had (you get the gist?). Change your focus as soon as you notice your thoughts going where you don’t want them to go. Another way is to have the thought and decide that you will find a better way of looking at it. Is there something positive, no matter how small, that you can get from it? Each time the thoughts come, again look for something positive. Each time you do this you lessen the negative strength of it till it no longer bothers you when it comes up. I hope this helps you? 🥰😅🥰

Here are my 10 extra tips to INCREASE your daily manifestations that I’ve learned over the years..👇🏾 1. Practice gratitude every morning. When you wake up, list everything that you are grateful for and feel that gratitude in your core. Feel free to write things down in a journal so it is easy for you to remember. 2. Replace your negative thoughts with positive ones. Every time you feel a negative thought coming on, make a positive spin on it right away. 3. Take ownership for things that happen in your life. It's easy to blame others however you will feel much better when you realize that most issues stem from us. 4. ALWAYS believe that good things are about to happen. By being open to new possibilities you are inviting abundance into your life. 5. Remember that like attracts like so you get back whatever you put out, whether it is good or bad. So do good AND received good. 6. Meditate for five minutes a day. During this time focus on how you want your life to be; but place your focus on how you feel AND feel that feeling as if you have already accomplished those goals. 7. Step outside of your comfort zone. Stop playing it safe and make that decision to finally go for your dreams. 8. Focus on activities that make you feel truly happy. When you are truly happy you have the best vibrational frequency to manifest your desires. 9. Avoid the naysayers and surround yourself with people who only lift you higher. Downers will be downers, don't let them drag you into their misery. 10. Don't be afraid to dream and know that you are always supported by the universe. Hope this helps! - Your Friendly Neighborhood Coach ❤

Bring a little being into your doing. Focus on your breathing for 30 seconds. Give gaps throughout the day to bring space to awareness, like washing hands or walking up and down stairs. Don't be quick to judge or give answers. Be alert and still; this is true listening. Ask questions. Be comfortable with not knowing. Out of questions, answers arise. Thanks Eckhart. 😁🦋🐛🌻🌷😇💖🤡

Set aside little spaces throughout your day for 30 secs 'to be in your body' and Stillness/presence. After getting into your car. At the beginning of the meeting. Bring people into too 6:22 "Alert listening." "One of the most creative ways to participate in a discussion group is to ask questions." "This is a part of the creative process of of finding solutions." "Some of the most creative people ask the most questions." "The Socratic Method" 8:50 "'I am the only one who knows that he knows nothing' - Socrates" 9:24 "That is also spiritual practice" 9:55 Computers draw out attention outside out body and can deplete us. Where ever your focus goes, your energy flows. 10:20 You can still be present in your inner body while doing 'outter' tasks. Even while grocery shopping 🛒

-Becoming aware of background of alertness when you listen to others -become aware of your own alertness as you listen -practice little bit of being into the doing -practice be in your inner body awareness -sense the presence that you are while you’re listening
@anaisbriana33212 жыл бұрын
Do you think presence can be possible while doing things like driving or speaking to others? Why take 30 seconds when you can make "presence" your life because practically it is your life. Why do we people set our minds on something, for example, "presence"?-the moment that the mind is set on to something it becomes limited, and freedom, which is presence, is infinite. So being present doesn't mean "I am present" or "in the next minute I will be present", but living life with your eyes fully opened, your mind free and your heart pure. When having those, presence comes naturally, it becomes who you really are.

I fell back into negative activity this weekend while with friends, although I enjoy my friends dearly I found myself at the moment drained and having to fall into their so-called drama, and the next day my energy and thoughts are totally drained and I am not at peace any longer. I need to constantly keep Eckhart's words in my mind. Any other thoughts?
@Aquamarinegreen2 жыл бұрын
‘Projective identification’ is when others put out their own projections (usually unconscious and is usually their own unprocessed material and acts as if it belongs to others-in other words, not taking ownership) and where one takes or absorbs (internalizes them as their own or feeling somehow responsible) hence, ends up drained, behaving as if it’s true....something close to that. What helped me with this is to develop the gap or interior spaciousness to not buy into other folks drama/pain body. In the gap there is a choice around engagement. At least you have the self awareness to put this together. Now or after practicing you are free to disengage-or not. In other words I don’t have any longer a lot of other people’s drama that drain me and try to run the show. I have enough of my own haha. 🤣

That is also after-awakening post what eckhart says when he talks about presence. you must sense the qualitiy of the eternal within. only then the process of merging into one starts to happen which actually what you are. you ARE that Self, grace, awareness, consciousness or whatever you name it. All points the same, the eternal within you. Peace, Love :)
