How Do You Make A Stunning Split Card Design? Like This...

While looking for new card ideas I came across the Split Card Design. Man, what a beautiful card! I’m going to teach you how to make this card and don’t worry-it may look hard to make but it’s not. I have two different cards to share that will spark your own creative juices!
The first Split Card Design features the Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight (both stamp set and dies) and I used bright spring and summer colors-Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Garden Green. Perfect for the season don’t you think?!
How to make a split card design?
👉 Start with Basic White Thick cardstock cut at 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".
👉 Next, starting from the bottom of the card front cut off six 1/2" strips.
👉 Use masking paper to add the strips back to the card as shown in the video tutorial.

I’ve seen this done where the posts are glued on the front, then the card is flipped over and slats are glued on from behind. No tape needed. I love the way you decorated your cards! Thanks for sharing!❤

Before adding the lattice/fence I used a blending brush to make a blue sky. Then when I did the strips it looks like a white fence. Then I glued in a green pattern dsp on the inside of the card for the grass you might see through that fence.

I use my trimmer upside down, too, but my daughter holds it sideways! I love this card - it's so pretty! I want to try it, but it will be after the weekend since I have a workshop tomorrow! I tried to watch your live, but I missed it, and figured I could watch the replay. Thanks so much for showing this card. It's different and I love different, and fancy folds. I also like the idea of embossing the lattice parts with the wood grain embossing folder.

Hi Sharon, I just found your videos. I made St Patrick’s Day cards using a similar fence design card. I also used DSP, and also created my own with stamping floral outline stamps, stamped all over green paper to to place behind the fence. These were big hits with family and friends.
