My bff of 4 years read some DMs between me and my friend where I suggest my desire for possibly wanting more than friendship, but being content with the friendship we have (its great) and he told me he didn't want to hurt me, I assumed he was rejecting me straight up but then he followed with "if he was in a better place hed give us a chance " and he does like me as woman... this was through text. Then he called where we discussed missed opportunities to get closer in the past (drunken nights, sleeping in the same bed). I admitted I saw them as missed opportunities as well. We laughed. I confronted him about giving me mixed signals with all the attention, dinners, family outings and flowers.... he said he wanted to be a better kinder person...I asked him if he was just using me as practice and he said no. We havent discussed this in person and we've seen eachother a lot since then. I feel like there is so much tension between us now. I dont know if I should bring it up or let things fall as they should. I love my friends so much but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to be closer to him. I desire him in every way. What do I do?

We did this & then my last sweet heart that I wish I could marry showed up & boy was hurled into the friend zone! I even thanked him for being a good listener & great friend & keeping my mind off of someone who may be an empty dream. The friend suggested I get "closure" & I only moved on for about a day. I can't date or sleep with other people & I can't operate like I'm single because I don't have fun going out & not hooking up with someone....but surprisingly I can't do that anymore. I don't have it in me. I vent to my guy friend about this but I think he worries I am trying to sleep with him now.

Love your videos. I recently (3 months ago) met a guy who over the past month or so has been showing signs of being interested in me romantically. He's taken me out for dinner twice, picking up the tab each time, showing an interest in me as a person, holding eye contact, connecting with each other in conversation, standing at close proximity to each other, hugging each other when saying goodbye, etc. On our last dinner date he told me that I was 'irreplaceable' and he often tells me how happy he is that I am in his life. Yet, he's never directly asked me to be his girlfriend nor has he made a romantic move. Yesterday, we met again briefly and it was clear that he was very stressed with some work issues. I lent a listening ear and offered some advice. At the end of our conversation he said, 'I really appreciate our friendship!'. I'm beginning to think that I've mis-read all the signs and that I am safely in the friend zone. While men are mostly straightforward with words, could he have said 'friendship' just because he was too cowardly to say 'relationship'? I really really like this guy. What can I do (apart from reading the subtle signs) to understand if he really just sees me as a friend?

EDIT - He was at my house with his nephew to help me with things around the house. I had bday cards from 2 real women friends on my table. I bought a lovey dovey card addressed as Sweets and signed Love Dave. He went in that room and gone for a few minutes. Later after the p.m. text he sent another text kind of trying to prove himself. I didnt reply. There is no Dave but I just want him to think I have other options. Hes going to have to figure it out to see me soon or its bye bye.
