I apologize for the camera quality. I'm working on lighting and my crazy camera focuses on the farthest object away! What is your favourite tool for flattening and securing your TPT products?
@kirstenharris93013 жыл бұрын
I have a free way to flatten and secure your products as well. Once all of your slides are in tip top shape, you go to FILE and then down to EXPORT then down to CHANGE FILE TYPE... choose PNG and when it asks you choose all slides. It will create a folder for each slide as a separate PNG. I then open a new PowerPoint and click INSERT … PHOTO ALBUM... and insert all of the slides you want in the album. You will need to go and change your slide size after inserting them but this flattens and secures everything.

Very very excited about flattening my products, I dont know why it just excites me as a tpt author 🤣🤣. I dont actually have flat pack but I do use a website to flatten my pdfs, soooooo helpful and to be honest it's a great free alternative, it doesnt do as much and there is a limit to how many pages you can secure (200 pages) but it's amazing. ALSO, congrats on your new job...Prayers really do get answered, in someway, some form and some time. So happy for you

Congratulations on your job! That is really wonderful! Thanks for the video. Flattening has been a major obstacle to posting on TPT for me and a great excuse for procrastination . . . . Using Adobe has felt bulky, chaotic and been somewhat confusing to me. Off to check out Flat Pack.

Hi ….. I’m still in the process of making products. I’m still learning. I have a few questions. I amu using hyperlinks to show right answer and wrong answer. Will he animations work. Wipe, custom motion paths and fade in and out? Also will the animation work as a pdf? Also do u have to give links for clip art or just image?
@ItsAllPrimary3 жыл бұрын
Hi Amanda, animations probably won't work in your pdf but if you keep it was a powerpoint, the animations will work. Have you heard of Flat Pack? It will flatten and secure your clipart and fonts in powerpoint.
@amandalipschitz35923 жыл бұрын
@@ItsAllPrimary Yes, I will definitely buy Flatpack! So just to confirm . I need to keep my product in PowerPoint to have any animations.. not a pdf. Pdf would be for still images.?

Thank you! Congrats (one year later! :) on your new job. IF I am just getting STARTED on TPT and ALL I want to post (for now) are printable PDFs, can't I simply Download as a PDF from Google Slides and post to TPT? I am working on my "homework" assignment of a square format cover, ETC, ETC. I am hanging in there with the LEARNING CURVE. Much appreciated.
@ItsAllPrimary2 жыл бұрын
Hi Wendy, it depends on any clipart used. If you are using clipart or paid fonts (which are not available on Google Slides), you would need to flatten & secure before uploading. Your first product also needs to be a Freebie.

Did you buy the flat pack bundle? If so, do you like it?

Do you know if there is a way to keep an icon or textbox flattened but make a hyperlink still active?
@ItsAllPrimary3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can add a textbox on top of the image. Flatten the image, click "do not flatten" to the textbox.
@courtneyreyman30942 жыл бұрын
Hi there! I'm new to creating educational printables and I'm confused by what "flattening" means. When I create a worksheet in MS Word or MS Powerpoint, I always go to "File," then "Export to PDF." I thought that automatically flattened the document, but I'm getting the idea that just because it's in a PDF doesn't necessarily mean it's flattened. What does flattening mean?
@ItsAllPrimary2 жыл бұрын
Hi Courtney, flattening means to flatten any text or images from being lifted by thieves. Like you, I thought converted a powerpoint to pdf was enough. It wasn't. Many sellers do this, but I tried removing an image from a pdf (from a big TPT seller) product, and I could do it. I emailed them (and they thanked me!). There are a few pdf flatteners out there. I use Bearwood Labs (totally worth the price), but if funds are scarce pdf toolkit is a popular one used by TPT sellers.
@courtneyreyman30942 жыл бұрын
@@ItsAllPrimary I never would have guessed lifting images from a pdf was possible. Thank you so much for explaining! I'll look into both tools. I wish you the best in the new school year! :)
