@@dev_zero98If your training partner pauses, like the first guy with the protective helmet, then it ain't sparring. (P.S. please read my other comments before posting your offended FMA garbage my way, I have addressed your points In multiple comments multiple times.) (P.P.S. I love making stupid people mad with facts and logic, I love having this kind of power over stupid people.) (P.P.P.S. The funniest comments are the ones who fail to make a solid point, realize what I'm saying is right, get offended and try to hit and run, and/or act all tough sounding like the "Navy Seal Copypasta". Go look it up it's hilarious, then go find the comments I'm talking about, it's grade "A" comedy.) (Post note: Nowhere did I state that "hitting people with sticks/bats doesn't hurt". The "go fight these guys then" comments are absolutely missing the point. No one brings a bat to a shopping mall, a machete to a nail salon, and so on. Get a grip on what makes sense outside of the Dojo.)

@@DeathxThexKid100because that is not a sparring, it was a demonstration. Why do you think american soldiers train with filipinos with knife and close quarter combat? Simple answer EFFECTIVENESS AND LETHALITY.
@DeathxThexKid100
@DeathxThexKid100 10 ай бұрын
@@ralphjohngutierrez7007 Most combative programs are about 6 weeks. Any other hand to hand training for a soldier is optional. Which for the record, is still not even a beginner within that time frame. Most don't bother training in more martial arts for the very, very simple reason that both of my Judo instructors have said (who each were former army, and I have another judo instructor who was a marine who also agrees) that if a soldier finds himself in a hand to hand situation with the enemy on a battlefield, everything is so horribly, and unbelievably wrong. So if any soldier is unironically training this, then they are in for a rough time if they have to use it for real because there is nothing to use. No stick out in the aether is anywhere close to being that rigid or are the same weight in common military use. Even tree branches are not even remotely the same as the sticks found in stick fighting arts. And in no way is a stick beating the enemies gun and his friends, which the enemy will definitely have. Karambits have been a widely disproven mall ninja weapon. They are farming implements that got reworked to being used as garbage weapons not out of effectiveness, but necessity. If anything, you are seeing in the military straight edge full tang survival blades which those are used for utility, not combat. You don't know as much as you think you do.

In Eskrima you practice pre-arranged attack patterns as drills, so this is probably worked out in advance. It's still impressive as hell, though. He's probably going easy on the kid, but they're still going fast. I didn't drill at anywhere near that speed, and I used to get my knuckles smashed by my partners and smashed theirs all the time. @@mpa324 Kali/Escrima is a general term for Filipino Martial Arts. There are different systems/styles that fall underneath the umbrella of Kali/Eskrima, one of which is Balintawak. Balintawak is the name of the street where the school was. The systems are named after the founders of the style or where it came from. Think of Korea, you have Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do, Hwa Rang Do, Hapkido, etc. Other systems like Silat have many similarities to Kali, but would not fall under Eskrima as it's not Filipino.

It is not a combat sports. Try Kali, you'll realised it is one of the most dangerous disciplines that should not be teaching to young people. Techniques are meant to kill using small weapons. Stick or Arnist is just to show or dumb down things. Change those stick to small hand guns/knives/any small weapons.

@@васявасильев-у9ц5лyou're thinking about street-fighting, this is not something you use to start a fight but to defend yourself by disabling the enemy through continuous attacks. This martial art is designed for short-ranged fights especially when someone tries to rob you or someone wants to hurt you for a reason. And kali(Arnis) can be used in all weapons and situations. Some uses knives, swords. Throwing stones and gun fights only happens when you're a guy who loves to start a fight. A real brave man will always get out of those situations and protect himself from danger as much as possible.
