To Pastor Dennis: I was in your 1:00 service on Sunday, Oct 1, 2023.... sitting at the very top back rows. And I enjoyed your sermon from the very beginning....except for the part about black people talking during the service and white people trying to listen. I'm an older person that started visiting Victory World about a month ago because something had happened at my church that really caused me to want to go elsewhere, although I'd been going there about 18 years. It was my Life Group that had ticked me off, not the church itself. Anyhow, Dennis, I sent you a DM introducing who I am and where I'm at, spiritually, at this point on my journey to grow in Christ. I really hope you choose to read it. Thank you

Noone should judge each other, I am black. I've been hear for years. God doesn't judge us of color. We are all human. We make mistakes.

@@alexisbailey6253Hear is to your ears. I believe you meant to say "I've been 'here' for years. Anyhow, in a Mega church, such as Victory World, it really doesn't matter how long you've been attending. There are so many newcomers and long time members there... it's incredible! What matters, in any church we might attend, is how we're contributing to that church after having gone there for a considerable amount of time. I do not consider myself a stranger, at any church, where the Word of God is preached. For all who have come to know the Lord, in a personal way, are members of the Body of Christ everywhere! I wholeheartedly prayed to receive Jesus Christ, as my very personal Savior, in October, 1991. Knowing who I've truly become in Christ is what really matters to me! Praise the Lord, for my salvation! I'm really surprised that you went into a judging mode over my saying that his comment about black people talking, rather than listening, might have been better left out! However, your making that comment is a prime example of 'a black person' who should have just kept their mouth shut! As well, that Victory World church founder doesn't need you trying to defend him because, frankly, he hasn't done anything wrong! You said it yourself...."We all make mistakes." Pastor Dennis made a mistake in saying that, but I'm not going to stop attending that awesome worship facility just because of one unwitting comment made by another human being....even if he is the founder of that church! Even so, as a black person, myself, I felt a little "lumped in with a group" when he made that comment about black people not knowing how to shut up during a sermon, because I'm simply not one of such people! I had a right to my response and you really didn't need to take it upon yourself to judge me for it! Have a great day in the Lord....Amen.

You may need to get healing for that church hurt ... I've been a member for over 10 years and I've known him to love all and what he says is true 😅😅 I am black and I do that 😅😅😅 why get offended?

On the surface, "eye for an eye" sounds good, but in all reality, it's unChristian. It says that a set amount of violence is fine. But I thought you were to do good to those who despitefully use you? And the "how do you want to be treated" is transactional. You want to be treated in some kind of way, so you hope that by treating somebody else, they'll treat you better than they might otherwise.

I love how Jesus responded to your first point when he shared, "You have heard people say one thing, but..." - Jesus always gives us the better way! Thanks for watching and commenting.
