The problem in our application is that the safety valve opens at high pressure but it doesn't close down completely when the pressure becomes low and the pressure continues to be released until the vessel is totally without any pressure.

Pls I need a video on how to lap a cone shaped disc or feather of a boiler safety valves.

We will have to see when our valve shop may have something like this in their line up.

You need a cast iron or copper plate with the center machined out so that the edges rest on the seat. Apply lapping paste and oil and rotate the plate. If the condition is particularly bad then you may need to use sandpaper first or machine the surface on the lathe.

Hello, i have safety valve in Sea water line, which has 2 springs external and internal. What is the use of 2 springs? Thanks in advance.
@powermechanical2 жыл бұрын
Without seeing the valve it would be hard to say. Many safety valves are spring loaded, some do have exposed springs while some may be internal to the valve itself. There are some valves that have multi-ports. Multi-port valves will have independent springs on each outlet port.

I am looking for a safety relief valve for ASME section 1 hot water boiler.I couldn't find any in the market Do you know any manufactures of safety valve for Section 1 hot water boiler? Thanks in advance.

@pratheesh ravikumar ... We would need some more details to get you on the right valve. However, Kunkle manufactures Section 1 High temperature hot water valves. Look up the Kunkle model 927 and see if that is what you are after. Feel free to call for a quote on this valve 1-877-764-7832

Is the cost of re-certifying a safety valve lower than buying a new SRV?
@powermechanical4 жыл бұрын
@ Jose Duran, This can depend a lot on the size of the valve. Based on the majority of valves that are regularly re-set/re-certified then Absolutely. Some of these valves can be several thousands of dollars to purchase.
