The absolute master of voice, Dimash. Nothing he can not do with that voice. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Pick a genre, he can do it. He will often mix genres in one song. From deep baritone to whistle notes. He sings in many languages while being fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian with English becoming his third and a little Mandarin as well. He plays multiple instruments, dances, composes, acts and continues to work on his doctorate degree all while doing music , concerts, MV's etc. Top that with the fact he is very humble, and always very very respectful.

You have not even scratched the surface of Dimash's talent and ability. A good professional vocalist has a range of about 3 octaves. According to some analysts, Dimash's range is over 7 octaves (A1-D8), spanning across all four registers. Dimash is said to have "absolute pitch," often called “perfect pitch,” the ability to identify or re-create a given musical note without the benefit of a reference tone; i.e. the ability to hit any note with perfect pitch without any reference or lead in. He has continued to hone his skills and fine-tune and perfect his already unbelievable abilities even more. There does not seem to be a limit to what he can achieve vocally. I am excited to follow his journey. Dimash may go down in history as the most extraordinary vocal talent known to man. I cannot think of anyone, past or present, capable of doing what Dimash is capable of. I am still waiting on someone to name a single individual even remotely close to Dimash's mastery. Dimash has performed songs in 17 languages; Kazakh, Russian, English, Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Serbian, Turkish, Sicilian, Ukrainian, Kyrgyz, Armenian, Arabic, and Japanese. Besides his native Kazakh tongue, he speaks fluent Russian, which is still an official language in most former Soviet Republics. Dimash is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin, which he says is a challenging language to learn. Dimash plays five instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, and drums. He usually performs for more than two hours during live concerts and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles.

How big his vocal range is….🤭🤭🤭 Let’s just say a piano needs more keys to accommodate. Or even, “earthquake to dog whistle”. This was a very enjoyable reaction. Dimash's rendition of "Ave Maria" is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance countless times since it premiered, and no matter how many times I have already watched it, I am still moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice. This was the final of three songs Dimash premiered in August 2021 during his appearance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krutoy on the piano, who composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. Someone stated that this is a vocalise interpretation of Schubert's "Ave Maria" opening vocals, and that the piece uses three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Whereas a classical musician on KZbin (@SirHairless), pointed out that his is more of an interpretation of the composition of Vladimir Vavilov, often misattributed to G. Caccini. Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand-new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music, which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to "a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!" The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce," the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most challenging vocal exercises, and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master. There have been at least 11 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions over the past roughly 200 years. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. Ave Maria is a superhuman vocal exception, which takes you by surprise. Being a vocal song, a pure masterpiece, the magic of Dimash's voice is unleashed in the ether and is the fire that burns the soul and heart through love, beauty, elevation and purity. From my point of view, I cannot make a top ranking of Dimash's songs, the original ones, regardless of the composer (Igor, Dimash or someone else), leaving aside the covers. I come back to the idea, so I can't make a top. Why? Simple: each song by Dimash has a different theme, a different melodic line, different feelings, different tonalities. Each track is unique in lyric, interpretation, musical essence and message. If you listen to one, you like it more, if you listen to another, you like it even more, you can't decide because you can't. There are pieces with a religious touch, patriotic pieces, pieces of love, pieces of courage etc. If in an interview Dimash was asked what song he likes, I don't know what answer he would give... Almost all of them are masterpieces. It is as if Dimash is a father of dozens of children. I don't think he could tell a difference between them. Each piece has its place in time and space, it is appropriate in a certain context, event. Each song takes you on a certain journey, be it magical, be it angelic, be it love or be it a story, either sad, or happy, or fighting, or patriotic. We have to be consistent and say that all the pieces are exceptional, not one can be compared to another, because a parent loves all his children the same!!! All are original Dimash songs. In 2019, he was a guest performer at New Wave and presented several new songs that Igor Krutoy composed for him and several covers of Lara Fabian songs Igor composed. Hi! New to your channel but I think you will have a ton of fun with Dimash! Obviously you can see form the comments already here that there is a lot to be said about Dimash, more than just his insane vocal range! Personally I feel like Dimash is an artist for everyone, with music that fits every preference and he's constantly surprising and delighting his listeners! Keep diving in, there's so much to experience with Dimash! As already suggested most people begin with songs like "S.O.S." (I personally recommend either the performance at Slavic Bazaar or his breakout performance on "Singer"), "Stranger", "Olimpico", and "Sinful Passion". Those are just good "jumping off points" but you really can't go wrong with Dimash! Personally I suggest watching these first because the better understanding you have of Dimash the more you can fully appreciate his entire catalogue! I DO recommend that people get to know Dimash a little bit before jumping into "The Story of One Sky" in order to get the full emotional effect intended but that's, again, personal preference. One other thing I do suggest is if you are watching performance from "Singer" look for the full or extended versions with English subtitles, several of which are found on Gloria Wu's channel. The reason I suggest this is that these are the performances that introduced Dimash to the world and there is so much backstory with these them, it's really worth getting the full picture! For example, his performances of "Opera 2" and "Daybreak" on Singer have a lot of things happening 'off stage' that really add to the emotional value of the already phenomenal performances! Have fun! Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. I liked and subscribed hoping for more Dimash reactions😊 Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Actually , speaking voice range, Dimash is a baritone. He has practiced his entire life to keep his childhood upper range and control it and practiced to extend his lower range. He is not a soprano but a true counter tenor…most counter tenors voices fall in the baritone. Ave Maria , the version that most people know the music is Schubert’s The original by Schubert was composed for a stage production and the “Ave Maria” referenced was a mythological figure “lady of the lake type character. The Catholic Church co-opted the Schubert melody and inserted the “Annunciation..Ave Maria from the New Testament Bible. There several thousand versions of Ave Maria. This version is close in Musical chord progression to the Caccini Ave Maria (although it is now believed to have composed by another musician. It is a genderless song, since an angel is speaking to Mary….

Dimash has always like this song, but it is a Christian song, which Dimash is not. He asked Igor Krutoy (the pianist0 to write him an Ave Maria that would transcend all cultures and religions. Igor has worked with Dimash since 2018, writing quite a few of his songs. Being the perfectionist he is, Dimash worked with a vocal coach to make sure he had perfected the vocal technique used on the last two notes. FYI: Who is Dimash? I, and a few others, call him the singer of the millennia because the range of musical genres, and his vocal range, 7.7 octaves, are like no other. From Kazakhstan, beginning his singing career at age 5 (he's 29 now, 2023), Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. The world became aware of him in 2017 (when he was 22), during and after a Chinese singing contest called "Singer". His first digital music album "ID" went platinum in only 37 seconds after release, and 3x platinum in only one hour, and 5x platinum in only one day on Chinese music platforms In December 2019, he made his US debut in New York at the Barclays Center. Dears (those he calls his fans) traveled from 68 different countries, 43 states & 2 US territories, and was sold out. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! He has a bachelors degree in vocals, a master's degree in composition and is about to complete his PhD in musicology in 2023. Dimash sings in 14 languages, plays 7+ musical instruments, is a composer, an amazing vocalist, patriot, philanthropist and, despite his popularity and talent, is a very warm and humble person.
