One of his claims is not right here. Galileo had more than just 3x magnification. He must have had at least 10x cause Galileo's observation log has mention of Jupiter's moon which aren't visible under low magnification

I think you missed something in your research. Galileo have mentioned in his observation log about four 'mysterious' stars moving round Jupiter during his observation which turned out to be the planet's satellites. Jupiter's moons are tiny and need at least 10x magnification to see. Therefore your claim about Galileo having just 3x magnification is untrue.

Fact Galileo was seen as an abrasive and arrogant man. Many of his theories were made to simply contradict with scientists he disagreed with on a personal level. He claimed comets were merely optical illusions and that all of the planets moved in the same direction in a circular motion despite this being debunked by several other prominent astronomers. He made claims about sciences he had no field of understanding in and was overall very disliked by just about everyone including other scientists.
