Interesting twist on a basic kerfmaker tool... more flexible than what those smaller ones can do.

I bought one of those small little jobs off Banggood but I still haven't used it yet. I need to spend more time out in my shop. I think u built a really great shop tool here my friend.. Would a piece of 6mm Aluminium be fine for one of these shop made jigs??

It has nothing to do with clairvoyance, but it does require a bit of patience and knowledge of woodworking. (Hint: the thumb nail tells you what it does.)

Oh dear. Why do woodworkers keep using words like 'exact' and 'perfect', when they practice one of the least accurate crafts? A machinist may be working to micro-metres (or tenths of thou...) but never talks about exact. Because it never is. 'Within tolerance' is what you are aiming for. Is it poor choice of language, or poor way of thinking- I can never tell. Interesting project, but fit a digital fence (not hard to build) and all this goes away.
