It don’t matter if you are using autotune. You still have to sing close enough to the pitch the song is in, for it to grab your voice and put it in the correct pitch

O my god! So this is how auto tune works, I've got a comment telling me I've used it, but had no idea what it is, so searched this on KZbin. Thanks for the information Film companion :) It's pretty hard to edit audio, but still some people comment saying it's auto tuned! 🤦 I wish I knew atleast noise removal of an audio. 🙈 *Sigh*

Glad to know that hw mentioned Melodyne. I don't know why people even use AutoTune quite so much. I think people should invest a bit more time in manual pitch correction with the help of tools like Melodyne. But of course, it can be frustrating at times and the quality of the end product would heavily depend on the mic so AutoTune in such cases is the best bet. And it even gives a special tone to audio and that effect is sometimes really good. Anyways, nice video.

Just imagine, thousands of kids and youngsters practice, fight their families, bunk schools and basically just stake everything to sing. Now along comes this rich brat who just autotunes his songs and makes it catchy with professional help and he gets the deal. It's cheating from those youngsters who sing in cafes while people stuff their faces with food. Technology isn't a great liberator. Those are plugins. You’ll need a DAW for these plugins to work on. Mostly used are fl studio and ableton. There are many more out there so google will be ur best friend.

Vikhyath Kamath no software or technology can bring emotions,soul,feel and expressions in a singing voice, it has to be practiced and only a skilled singer would be able to do it, this autotune can only correct pitch...singing is much more then that sir!! these softwares won't be able to produce any rafis, kishores ,ashas ,latas, mannas and sonus :)

Tbh every song uses autotune in a way or other. You cant magically turn a shitty vocal into something amazing, you will still need to sing well though. Autotune can only correct to a certain limit otherwise it causes the vocal to become robotic.

Ashish Kaul auto tune only came out or invented recently so what about those beautiful songs that were in the 15th to 19th century, I can imagine how those people respected music in those ages and how creative and hard worked. The world is becoming too much technology, that's the problem.

I want to mention autotune mostly English people use it then Indian people started using it for different style music. Indians have what is called karnartic vocal or Hindustani vocal which one should not play around with the melody of voice by by using effects like autotune. Natural is better for nature and respect for one's given soul.

Jishan2511 thats true, but if you have great vocalists, minimal or no autotune is used. Im saying so because im a music producer by hobby and have worked as well as mixed a lot of vocalists out there and it pretty much depends upon the style you are going for. If not autotune u still need a lot of processing till the audio is commercially good and that cant be done with raw vocals, even in the old times people used analog hardware for those effects like compression, saturation etc. and it was acceptable. But now since it is a digital age and softwares work better, people started hating it and called it “unnatural” Actually the thing is people dont know how things are done and have wrong expectations about it, but when they see the truth they start hating. However if we dont use them ull see a lot of difference in processed and unprocessed songs.
