@@ahlawymasry8743 lighting this year was pretty good, not as good as 03 and 09 though.. Ramy is 3-5 lb heavier than Ronnie, and 35 lb heavier than Jay but bodyweight in itself doesnt always fully translate into pictures... Both Coleman and Ramy are 5 10/178 cm Its impossible to get the scaling right if you only focus on the heights as some bodybuilders hit certain poses with their legs closer/further apart...so 2 guys that are 5 10 when standing erect wont necessarily be the same height when they are hitting a certain pose...GET IT? yea ramy only lacks those special cuts..his arms look big but boring and a lil bit too small next to his quads. his chest is big but also could need more wow factor somehow. and his back and calves are probably the weakest parts. still, ramy as a paackage is nearly unbeatable. if ramy jsut improves his lower back and back detail, calves and jsut overall even more wow factor conditioning..then its game over :D but if brandon curry improves his legs to a point that his legs keep up with ramys...ramy can go home :D

Ur right.. BY Jay's own mouth several times he's said he was 254 in 2009. I forgot who said Ramy was only 5'9 early on but it stuck when you could always tell he was a couple of inches taller than Heath. Dennis James corrected Shawn Perine (RIP) at the 2016 Olympia saying Ramy was 5"11. Maybe he's 5"10.5 but not 5"9 but I realize they have listed him as 5'9 many times. Ramy, even though not as crisp and polished as the other two, still is my favorite Physique out of the three of them simply because of balance and structure. Jay's conditioning from the back was always sub-par, even in his most conditioned and shredded years. It's more of a genetic thing really, because his abs and thighs were always diced, even when he was off the mark, however his glutes and lower back were always soft. I think it is fair to criticize him for his weaknesses, but still commend him for his MASSIVE strengths. For example: many guys can rock a Christmas tree lower back and have a lot of details throughout the back and be praised for being the best thing since sliced bread, but be washed out in the abs, and still be like, "Ya, but that's more of a genetic thing." Just seems a bit unfair to Jay, ya know. Jay played his strengths and I believe was great for that. I remember when I got sliced and diced, stage ready, and had crazy vascularity and striations throughout my chest and shoulders, and could even see a distinct split in the bicep heads. However, my triceps were not really feathered, nor my quads. I feel like, to this day, Jay in 2009 was the driest he has ever been and pushed his conditioning (and more than likely his health) to his genetic peak, seeing as to how hard his glutes and hams were. His legs were smaller, but even more sliced than ever before. His legs in 2009 were flayed as fk. The best wheels in the history of bodybuilding (for shape and conditioning). Jay even said at one point in his career he didn't train legs for something like 6 months because they shoot ahead of every other body part. He intentionaly made them a bit smaller, so they would look sharper, and he would look more balanced.

Fun video as always. I'll offer up my own thoughts as well. First off, damn, great job using the andro photos for Rammy. Marx Max Muscle is using a bunch of blurry screenshots that do Rammy no justice, so it's great seeing someone use the best photos avialable since they showcase just how dry and detailed Rammy was. Kudos. Also, I think the scaling is somewhat off. This isn't exactly your fault per say, but here's a video by Nick showcasing the size discrepency between Jay and Big Rammy. Rammy is about 2 inches taller. Just check out 2:12 on this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5-2aWR6h52Kn6s Big rammy dwarfs Jay, partially from size but also in height. That's a shadow of Jay of course, but it's more so a reference for their overall sizes. Worthy of mention, Rammy's legs are bent at the knees, but he's still taller than Jay. I'd say height wise, Jay's about 5'8-8.5, but he tends to pose without bending at the knees as much. Ronnie is 5'11, and he looks it on stage. Rammy's 5'10 or so, but he bends in a lot of poses so its hard to see sometimes. Anyways, here's what I think of the poses. Front Double - the oddness you're marking for Rammy comes from his torso length, not his upper arm lengths. Rammy has short legs and a long torso, like a toned down Nathan Deasha. I'd give this to Ron, then Rammy, then Jay. Jay's biceps are very assymetrical. You mentioned that not being a huge deal in other videos, but in this case, Jay's left bicep is over twice as large as his right. That Jay's quad sweep is the worst in the shot, as well, and his quads showcase little feathering here. His waist is the widest as well. Rammy's legs are the biggest by far, with Ronnie's calves actually being worse than Rammy's. Rammy also has the narrowest waist by a fair margin. Ronnie's lat taper is better, however, and his arms are very chiseled. Ronnie wins off wow factor in my opinion, but Jay is dead last. He's getting outmuscled by the other two here. Front Lat Spread - I give it to Ronnie. Ronnie fills out the lats a ton, his chest is ultra striated, and his narrow stance would make him appear around 2-3 inches taller than the others here. Rammy's second for the reasons you mentioned, and Jay just looks undersized compared to these guys. Oddly enough, he's getting bullied, but that makes sense since he's giving 30-40 pounds to the other two competitors, and he's the shortest as well. Side Chest - It's tough to say. I lean towards Rammy because he's polished throughout the pose, unlike Ronnie. Ronnie isn't sucking in his midsection much, if at all. Jay's doing an admirable job there, but he's just undersized compared to these other two. Something worthy of note, Rammy's brachialis and bicep separate very well in this pose. Just something I noticed. Back Double - Ronnie is a different animal. Great analysis. Back Lat Spread - Ronnie is a different animal. I agree. Side Tricep - I agree with your points. Rammy needs to work on his technique, because I think with flexed abs and proper tricep flexing, he'd run away with this one. Ab and Thigh - I agree. Most Muscular - Rammy needs to stick to poses that highlight his structure, narrow waist, and lets him show off detail. His hand on hip variations do that, but his crab and hands clasp don't. I personally think Jay is getting outmuscled in these shots. His quad sweep is inferior to Rammy, his waist is much wider, and he lookst he least 'muscular' so to speak. Overall, I give Ron the nod and Rammy a firm second. Personally, I think Jay's not as great in 2009 as people think. They beleive every shot of his was like his quad stomp, but in reality, he wasn't that impressive across all the mandatories. He has strong shots like the ab and thigh/side tricep, but his other shots lack the alien appearence that rammy/Ronnie have. In this comparison, that's showcased to its fullest. Great video though, and you always do a great job of remaining unbiased.
@Tomn8er
@Tomn8er 3 жыл бұрын
Great points and I can see the validity of your arguments for each pose. The one thing I would caution is that Ramy-Jay height comparison in NSP's vid. First off you can't see their feet, which is an automatic red flag, but it looks like Ramy is standing slightly in front. Depending on camera angle, a couple inches closer to the audience could equate to an inch or two of height, easily. Trying to gauge heights of guys, even while standing together on stage, is an extremely fickle process and can be misleading IME.
@monsoon1174
@monsoon1174 3 жыл бұрын
@@Tomn8er Yeah, I tried to word my critiques without any harshness, as scaling is a fickle beast. Here's an example of another side by side comparison where you can see the difference in heights between the two, and sorry it's a super long google link: www.google.com/search?q=2013+ramy+vs+jay+cutler&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjN6oDZpYjuAhWRoFMKHSrzCMUQ2-cCegQIABAA&oq=2013+ramy+vs+jay+cutler&gs_lcp=CgNpbWcQA1Dg9wVYn_sFYIX8BWgAcAB4AIABQIgBf5IBATKYAQCgAQGqAQtnd3Mtd2l6LWltZ8ABAQ&sclient=img&ei=YzH2X42tLZHBzgKq5qOoDA&bih=647&biw=1253&client=opera&hs=qIK#imgrc=UZlDJXY57jCLtM&imgdii=Vi5AaOZ9QSOwGM You can't see their full feet, but there's most of them there. Even tilting back, Rammy's still taller, and his shoulders are substantially higher. Some of that could be the angle, but I'm doubtful the angle can make up that kind of height difference.
