That system works better than in America, where anyone can just show up and load up their cars, no questions asked, except for proof of address. As a result, Americans who don't need help but are taking the freebies, are depleting the food banks. Many come in driving expensive cars each week. Our system needs revamping.

Why would you want someone to be referred by a doctor? Is it not embarrassing enough for people to have to visit a foodbank? Some people are forced into terrible situations and are proud. Why would you have them being referred by a doctor? What if they are desperate for food you're telling us they have to go and be seen by a doctor? Unbelievable!!!! Is the code to prove that you've issued a food parcel then you can be paid by the government or something?
