This was an essential stuff ... so thankful for educating us ... really so helpful ... Uncle i've noticed that the vw recommend engine oil which the dealer uses is so light ...not too less than water ... and always brown in color ... and is kept at medium level ... in city drives evem the bonnet gets extremely hot ..soo hot that we can dry clothes or make an omlette .... I've seen many foreign videos where they mention the se problem ... regarding the eng ine oil ..they compared it with others like SHELL that was as thick as honey ... is our delaer usiing low grade oil ...whats your take on it??
@dilipsukumar
@dilipsukumar 7 жыл бұрын
+Cyril Matthew Thank you so much... Yes... The Bonnet gets extremely hot in my Polo that you can cook the entire meal... If we accidentally touch the bonnet, it will blister our fingers instantly... One reason might be the Engine oil and the other is no insulation for the bonnet in Petrol variants. I have to flush out and change Engine oil to confirm it. I am waiting for my car to complete 15000 km as the Engine oil might contain some additives for the Run in of the New Engine... I will replace it with Shell engine oil and let's compare the temperature difference and Engine vibration / noise after that... These days car Manufacturers are doing silly things for cost cutting... The other cost cutting I completely dislike with VW is the spare tyres which are of different size...

dilip sukumar Ohh so u too have noticed that ..its like u sais nothing less than cost cutting uncle. .. this kills the life and reliability of the car ...Uncle we can even see the road when we open the bonnet ...thats with petrols mainly ours not in diesels ... also the engine head is neately covered using a high quality head ..thats in a square shape and also underneath the bonnet theres a heat absorbing shield too so the bonnet will be not that hot ... ok diesel engine generally works @ lower temperature but what they do is intolerable bunch of idiots ... Uncle even the jetta/ octavia TSI (1.4TSI) too dont have hat shield that coulped with this cheap engine oil have to be the reason for this overall inefficiency, heating and fuel economy ... this 73hp engine should return atleast a max of 18+ fuel eco but company claims only 16.4 ..thats shows how bad this is ..either this should be good for hard use ...no, or this should perform well when driven with loads ..no, the engine should be smooth and less noisy ..no ... This is terrible

dilip sukumar what should be the colour of engine oil when it is being used by the engine??
@dilipsukumar
@dilipsukumar 7 жыл бұрын
+manjeet singh it should be light yellow or Amber in colour while used in the Engine. The Engine oil becomes darker and darker on usage... It will turn to black when it is in bad condition...

+yogesh valayapathi Thank you so much... The Engine Oil is basically used to reduce the friction between the moving parts in an Engine. It acts as a lubricant... I will try to make a detailed video on it soon.

@dilipsukumar
@dilipsukumar 7 жыл бұрын
+Arjun Satish if you are taking to a very long highway trip or a hills trip it is recommended to keep in maximum level. For normal driving conditions, it can be anywhere between the min and max level.
