Thanks to Celio's for giving me a little bit of credit for my son's deck but he was the one who told us to cut Sableye/Psychic and add the Defiance band. Deck was very consistant. After a week of practicing, Yohann says Lugia is a very good matchup for the GOO. Not saying more as the Goo might live again soon!

Got farmed by the espathra / banette box when opponent hit heads on shuppet item lock so I couldn't get Pidgeot out. Then proceeded to brick for ten turns while they ate away all my basic/ stage 1 mons.

I’m thinking lugia still for orlando just been trying make it consistent as possible for the event ,working on making day 2 for my first regional.Turbo hands and zard are still on my radar for Orlando .Great episode from 2 great Pokemon KZbinrs

Maybe players should consider mesagoza as a stadium again. Lugia did pretty well at the event with 25 in day 2 and a couple in top 32. Top 32 at this event is basically just losing a win and in or 2 games. I’m guessing the iron hands farmed them.

I have a friend who did it with exclusively Dialga in a couple afternoons so I'm convinced anything as long as you play it well and play enough games But generally Charizard is a good choice. Maybe a little slow but good MUs into big basic decks that are super common on ladder

For all of the hype Chien-Pao had before EUIC, it was surprising to me that the top finishing Chien-Pao was 20th (or is that pretty good?)

Well, I'd interpret it both as it did flop AND it did well. We mentioned at the end but anything in top 32 is good so it has good results BUT compared to the hype and caliber of player playing it, it should have done better

My favorite/most practiced deck, arc/tina had a bad showing at the very top but a good conversion rate at least. And there was also some wild arceus innovations including the pure arc Luxray hand lock in t32, a bunch of Armarouge ones and even a Gigas list with giant cape and Leaves.

Arceus decks can suffer from linearity and small consistency issues more than other decks have which is likely why, but I don't think it should change your opinion on it. It did still do fairly well, just not a tournament winning deck

Thanks for the video! I have seen a few of your uploads and they are really informative. As a new player, I feel it helps me to be exposed to the more technical or strategic aspects of the game, beyond the "I like this Pokemon, so I am playing it". Just one question, please. I just finished building a Arceus Giratina deck ("I like Arceus and Giratina, so I am playing them") and you mentioned it sucks. Why? Thanks!

The deck is super linear. And if you can't start with Arc in the active and attach t1 you end up star birthing for cards that just get you in the active and with energy. Most of the decks in the format have plenty of ways of dealing with your strategy and can play around your tina Vstar. Lastly, the deck bricks and bricks hard. I wouldn't say the deck sucks, but it is inherently limited by itself, its an "okay" deck and can win games.

Another commenter described it nicely but I'll add my 3 worst finishes post pandemic have been with Arceus Bibarel decks so I'm very biased against them 😂 Regardless it has some weaknesses like linearity and being 2 prizer focused that gets rough

Maybe remove 1 Turo, 1 Yell and add Cyllene with Palpad. It covers a lot stuff especialy if played next to Prime catcher. Also can have sudo loop to not deck out easely. Helps more against devo+eri.

Problem is Eri or MF sisters can discard the pal pad. Double Turo + Yell Cheer is safer into control

@lukassimokaitis1362 yeah it's interesting for sure. I guess it comes down to guarantee of cheer vs the chance of less restricted recovery with cyllene to get non supporter/pokemon cards like prime catcher and go psudo-infinite like you mentioned. Worth some testing time!
