Christianity is about accepting God as the gospel writers and Paul said; not accepting God for who He says he is because God never said he was Jesus and Jesus never said he was God. God said he was above His creation, not IN his creation. God is the Creator, not part of the creation and certainly doesn't enter it through the uterus of a woman. Accepting God for who He is knowing He is One, has no son, is unique, has all power and knowledge and does not lose that becoming a human baby and man.

@@nikokapanen82I know you will see this comment and that you might respond, but did I make you respond? No. You have the free will to choose not to respond. Likewise, God knows what we will do and tests us at times, but we have the free will to choose what we will do, He doesn't make/force us to do anything to fit His plans. If God could just save everyone, He would, but that would be taking free will away. “The Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9. If we had no free will, we would not be here. Adam and Eve would not have sinned.
@nikokapanen82 Жыл бұрын
@@KingChris. Wrong, I did not have free will to respond or not to respond, I had a DESIRE that was so strong that I actually decided to respond. This has nothing to do with some non-existent free will, it has everything to do with my nature and desire I have. Our choices are never spontaneous, they are never based on luck, no, they are always based on what we want most. Adam and Eve did not have back luck and therefore they tasted it, no, they began to desire to taste the fruit so much that it led them to do it.
@KingChris. Жыл бұрын
@@nikokapanen82 We may not choose our wants (desires). But we can choose our actions, the method by which we plan to get what we want. That is the essence of free will. You chose to reply to me, thus giving into your desire that is free will. You gave in to your desire because of your free will to do so. Eve was tempted by the serpent, not because of a build-up of desire to eat the fruit. And she chose (free will) to eat the fruit.

My theory: Whether or not God knows our future before it happens, we always have the choice to choose, and because He is God, He just happens to always know our future. I believe that we have multiple futures, it's like this: A person's free will might alter with your decision, and an alter can affect other people and it just goes on; God sees how different decisions affect the present and the future, so He chooses to help humans by making a better path where everyone will have a choice to hear His Gospel and accept the Truth; the best way is to save as many people as possible using the Gospel, only that way is the best.

Great question from this guy. Here's my understanding - I hope it helps. Even if an outcome is certain, that doesn't imply micromanagement of each action. God has declared the end from the beginning (Isaiah). Let's give an example to illustrate: The score in a soccer game is 5-0 with 10 seconds left. Yes, it is certain that the winning team will win, but what actions the winning team takes or the losing team takes is not predetermined, just the outcome of the match. Let's take this up a notch. God is omniscient, eternal, infinite, and created time. Therefore, he is not bound to time like we are. As CS Lewis says, "past and present are all 'now' to God". Even though God can see the outcome of everything, that does not mean that he has to "wait" for such outcomes to occur. Furthermore, since God is omniscient, he knows how everything will play out on our timeline. Just like a man who could correctly foresee what number a roulette ball will land on. God knows what we will end up doing, but again, that does not imply his micromanagement of what we do. Lastly - the practical implications. Why would we be tested by God if he knows the outcome? Well, that's simple! There would be no outcome unless there was a test! The test is where the meaning is found, not the outcome! Abraham proved his faith to God by showing his willingness to sacrifice his son. Well, how could that have been known by any of us unless God supplied the test? This question used to trip me up, but it's really easily explainable.

God acts within the present moment of time....this is how he chooses to interact with us....in this moment of our present time...and based on the algorithm of all the decisions made in our creation if everything remains the same then the future takes a certain and specific route towards the destination of the end of time which ends within him....alpha and omega...from eternity and into eternity...this is where we come from and were we eventually wind up when this universe and creation ceases to exist in its current form.....now stay with me.....God instructs us to pray...and if we believe in prayer then there is purpose and reason to praying to God for our wants ...needs....to worship him....all good and true...now this is how God interacts in our present and when he does....we call it a miracle....and this new action of the eternal God now changes the route of time and of the history of the universe completely .....the destination of going back to him does not change...but our journey and our road for time is altered sometimes radically....this is why prayer is real and why prayer is powerful...God chooses to interact with his creation in the present moment of time....Jesus tells us to take the day for the day...not to be anxious for tomorrow or for the past....the only moment that is real and that counts for us while we are alive is the now..the present moment....so we can see that miracles ...when God interacts in our level of time and creation....alter outcome...like the butterfly effect....the road changes the journey is altered but not the final destination.....this is how he respects our free will...time is not set and is not fixed....time as far as we are concerned within our universe is in a constant state of flux....we will never know all the outcomes of his actions...this would be impossible...but he knows....it is the reason that we can be sure that we have the maximum latitude of free will in our decision making that is afford to us by the almighty himself....here is an example from the Gospel...a widow was walking to the cemetery to bury her young son...Jesus was walking with some of his disciples and he took pity on the poor widow...she was about to lose everything she had in the whole world and her future would have been very bleak....Jesus touched the young teen and commanded that he rise up and go home and take care of his mother....this is a miracle...this person should have been dead ...and yet he is allowed to live...and he will marry and he will have children and a whole bunch of other actions will he take in life that should have never happened if he remained dead....time....in our universe is in a state of flux....yes the major events within history God knows and he will bring about to fulfill his prophecies...but there is a lot of room for how he gets there and how we get there too....this is free will....so sacred is free will that he allows us to exercise it even when we are doing things that are contrary to the will and desire of God....if you agree with this analogy which comes from augustine and me....give it a like.....so others can see it too......

One of the best way I’ve been able to grasp the concept of man’s freewill along God’s omniscience was to watch Doctor’s strange in the Avengers Movie: Infinity war; that guy can predict multiple scenarios/outcomes linked to each decisions they will take prior they actually happen, and there is only ONE scenario where it ends well for them. GOD’s omniscience consists in His ability (which is unmatched Dr strange’s, just an illustration for comprehension’s purpose) to foreknow the outcomes of any decisions we make; therefore Him knowing what will happen ahead of time, He advises us through His Word to chose Life, to chose His Son’s pathway…which offers you the ONLY scenario which ends well for you! You then have the freewill, the freedom to chose His Son or not; if you chose Him, it ends well, if you don’t it does not end well. There it is…He’s ALL KNOWING, and you have your freewill!

Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows” Proverbs 9:10 #reverentialfear

free will is given to us for the day of judgement. when we stay in front of God , on the day of judgment and the Lord says I know you would do this and this so you go to hell. We would of course answer nooo I would never do that. He knows all the decisions we will make, but the Judge still needs facts, and the free will that he give us is because he loves us, he gives us the opportunity for choose AND because otherwise we could make him wrong for sending us to hell. I Hope I could explain.

From what I have understood, humans are given a choice(will to choose) which is the only animal which can do choices. You never see an animal ever intentionally suicide, as there is always a logic answer behind their choices based upon their instincts and behaviors. Human has a choice to repent or be an instinctive animal themselves which goes by lust and desires most of the time. I love studying this concept in my own time as machine code works much the same way; and with the introduction of quantum physics we are able to see that you are in a state of choice before the decision is made; which introduces the number 2 to equasion, meaning it is both 0 and 1 at the same time meaning it can be both (either or). For example, if I was to tell you the wall behind you is green, then you would have to observe the wall in order to agree or disagree. You can also chose to never turn around, followed by a choice to believe and trust it was green or not take part. making it up to the observer as you do not chose to observe, much like you can choose to follow Jesus or not, leaving people open for believing and sinning at the same time as they make their own rules in this world. This would open the posibillity to move on to the next choice of your life, repeating until death which reveals you as a code in numbers, representing your decisions. Like machines: 100101101110001011.

I like the analogy of if you record a football game and someone has already told you the score and who won. When you go rewatch the game you arnt controlling the player actions. Just because you know the score doesn’t mean the players didn’t make conscious decisions on the field.

1. My hair - Matthew 10:29-30 This is probably one of the first ones you thought of when I said that God knows things about us that others don’t. I am always amazed to read that God cares about the smallest of birds and even keeps track of how many hairs there are on my head and on yours. What a crazy math problem that is for my head! But that is our God demonstrating that He cares and knows about EVERY LITTLE THING in my life and yours. 2. My beginning - Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:13-18 God’s omniscience is definitely seen in the creation of each life at conception. In fact, God told Jeremiah that He knew Jeremiah even BEFORE he was conceived. The Psalmist in Psalm 139 brilliantly describes how from the beginning of each life God was there and knows everything about each person that He has “fearfully and wonderfully made.” We have a wonderfully omniscient God! 3. My relationship with Him - Nahum 1:7, Romans 8:16-17, John 10:28 God knows every person who has chosen to trust Him. He knows where we stand in our relationship with Him. And He ministers to those He knows through the Holy Spirit Who witnesses with our spirit when we are His children. He not only knows us, but John 10:28 tells us that He protects those whom He knows are trusting in Him. 4. My name - Exodus 33:12, 17 These were the verses that struck me first about what God knows about me! God encourages Moses here that he should speak just what God had told him to speak because God knows everything about Moses and will lead him in the right way. God says twice in this passage that He knows Moses by name! God doesn’t see His people as a mass of believers working as a group to accomplish His purpose. He knows each and every one of us by name! 5. My heart - Jeremiah 17:9-10, 1 John 3:20, 1 Kings 8:39, Psalm 66:18, Matthew 5:8 This is a sobering thought - God knows my heart! He knows the innate wickedness of my heart (Jeremiah 17:9-10), and yet He says in 1 John 3:20, that He “is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.” Solomon, in his prayer of dedication for the temple, affirmed this truth - “…for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men” (1 Kings 8:39b). God knows when we hold sin in our hearts causing our fellowship with Him to be broken. And He knows when we are seeking to have a pure heart in order to see Him. He knows our hearts! 6. My thoughts - Psalm 139:2b, Job 42:2, 2 Corinthians 10:5 Here is another sobering thought - God knows our thoughts! No thought has ever crossed the mind of a believer that has not been seen by God! Psalm 139:2b says it clearly - He understands “my thoughts afar off.” He doesn’t just know my thoughts, but He understands them! We might be afraid for other people to know all the things we are thinking at any given moment, but God already knows! Job knew this truth. He said that he knew “that no thought can be withholden from” God (Job 42:2). God knew our thoughts would be a battleground. That is why He admonishes us with 2 Corinthians 10:5 - “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” He knows our thoughts and wants to help us bring every single one into captivity in obedience to Him! 7. My worries - Matthew 6:25-34, 1 Peter 5:7 Do you realize that if God knows your thoughts, He also knows the thoughts that turn into worries? He taught His disciples and us about these worries in His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:25-34). He encourages us in that passage to rest in the fact that He knows what we need and will take care of us even more than He cares for the lilies of the field. He assures us that He knows and He cares. Peter said it this way - “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” He knows all about our worries! 8. My actions - Ecclesiastes 12:14, 2 Corinthians 5:9-10 Of course, if God knows the things that we think, it is obvious that He knows the things that we do too! At the close of the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon makes this truth very clear - “For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” God cannot bring into judgment that which He does not know about. Everything we do, both in private and in public, is seen and known by an omniscient God. For believers, one day we will all stand before the Lord at the Judgment Seat of Christ and be judged, not for our sins, but for our work for the Lord according to what sort it is. This is both encouraging to know that God knows everything that we do for Him, but it can also be convicting knowing that God knows when we have done those things for ourselves. God knows our actions! 9. My words - Psalm 139:4, Matthew 12:36 God’s omniscience doesn’t miss even a word that I speak. Psalm 139:4 says that “there is not a word in my tongue,” that God does not know. Matthew 12:36 admonishes us to think about the words that we speak because we will give an account of “every idle word” that we speak. 10. My way - Job 23:10, Psalm 23:4, Proverbs 16:9, Psalm 139:3 There are lots of verses that speak about God’s direction of our way which requires that He knows the way we take! Job affirmed this truth in the midst of his suffering - “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Psalm 23:4 encourages us that He knows when we walk through the valley and is right there with us. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us that we might make plans, but God knows our way and directs even our steps. The Psalmist tells us that He is personally acquainted with our way. He knows and directs our way! 11. My weakness - Psalm 103:14, 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 Psalm 103:14 is a verse I remind myself of often, because it reminds me that God knows how very weak I am - “For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.” Knowing that God knows my weakness is not an excuse to wallow in it. It is just a blessing to know that He knows! God encouraged Paul in his weakness by giving Paul daily, sufficient grace to handle the weakness. God knows that when we recognize the weakness, we can rest in His strength! 12. My days - Psalm 90:12, James 4:14, Hebrews 9:27, Psalm 31:15a Why does the Psalmist speak of numbering his days in Psalm 90:12? Because no man is assured of how many days he will spend on this earth. James speaks of life as a vapor. No one but God knows how many days we will live on this earth. Again this is a sobering thought when dealing with God’s omniscience. He has set an appointment with death, for believers and unbelievers alike. For a believer that should be comforting, but for an unbeliever that would incredibly unsettling. The Psalmist said that our times are in His hand (Psalm 31:15a). Our omniscient God knows our time on this earth!

Free will means every decision you make traces a line to possible alternatives in which God is able to see traces as lines to each alternative and conclusion from each choice through your life. Imagine a tree it has many branches sprouting from its main trunk, each branch is individual but acts upon all other branches in that tree. You can see that tree in whole if you stand back and if you focus on any one branch you can see it in part. All as that tree lives and grows through time. I hope my simple analogy helps.✝️🙏🤔

Do you think you would be able to show me what you just said in the scriptures? Thank you.
@DigbyOdel-et3xx Жыл бұрын
@@toddstracke9267 I only am using a hopefully easy to picture analogy of how God can know all and yet we still have free will. It may not be as articulate as I Iike but too add, every decision you make leads you down a path if you stay on it the path will be traceable and of course God can see that path's end game. But as your decisions change and such the path you are on changes to which God can see each path's end game. Maybe another analogy will work. It just came to me to use a railway. We can see all the tracks over the continent they pass by, run through rail yards, switch off, cross over each other. But we can stand back and make sense of it all. You are a train on a track, every switch, siding, rail yard your train goes through are built on individual choice's, but each track will lead to an end point. The end point may change depending on how often you as a train switch and move around the rail lines. God can see this in your life based on all your free choices. I hope I helped you here, it can be very deep in thinking but God is all powerful and all knowing. He can even influence your choices by presenting you alternatives if he wants to. Ie: say you are on a path to bad choices, let's say alcoholism. He can by your poor choices see where your alcoholism may lead you. But if he wants he can intercept your path of poor choices, maybe having a person cross your path that could influence you to make a better choice to get off the alcohol. That little bit of his intervention by nudging you and this positive person to cross paths can if you choose change your life to the better. He can see the results of your positive choice or sadly you not choosing to get help from this person crossing your path and as such he sees your continued negative choice.🤔

Your comment suggests Open Theism, which is not biblical. The scriptures teach that God has written a story (His-story) and we as His characters perform them according to what He has written for our lives. King David wrote concerning this in Psalm 139. Man does not have free will. Our will only chooses what God has decreed before the foundation of the earth. This is a difficult teaching/doctrine, but the scriptures do teach this great truth. I pray you will search the scriptures and ask God for His truth in this matter.
@ObeyHisWord Жыл бұрын
@@purple7vi0let I'm not sure what you want me to elaborate on, but I will say this. The God of Bible does NOT look down from heaven and react to what men do. Men react to what God has already written for us to do. Open Theism teaches that God does not know the future and reacts to our choices. This to me is blasphemy and not biblical.

@@ObeyHisWord it’s sounds deep but it mars the Character and the knowledge of a God. In your understanding God gives Adam and Eve a test that they are supposed to fail so he can save them from temptation that he wrote into their plan, to lead them into sin by following a being that had free choice but also has a mystery of iniquity put (can’t be found cos God wrote it all) in him, and He predestined him and third of the angels to separation from himself before their creation. Writing that they should also be utterly hated and ashamed and cause destruction wickedness and all the evil that you can think of and that you’ve never heard of. To be finally eradicated (because sin and sinners don’t exist forever) with all that followed the unrighteous written story by their own creator because that’s the story he wrote for them. Sounds like a satanic bend on scripture. You Might need to investigate Just who the the Father is again.
@ObeyHisWord Жыл бұрын
@kingsamuelofficial Deep it is, but satanic it is not. I pray you grasp the full measure of God. Isa 46:9-10 Remember the former things long past, for I AM God, and there is no other; I AM God, and there is no one like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, My counsel will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure. Romans 9:13-21 reveals His sovereign rule over mankind. Verse 20 explains that God is God, and as the Creator, He has the absolute right to do as He pleases with His own creation.

Free will is given but our actions are dealt by judgement from God, based upon the laws that God gave. Go do what you want but remember your actions have consequences. He says his parents didnt have the opportunity to seek but he has the opportunity so whats holding him back from fully opening his heart? MAN and its judgement. Pray and surround yourself with people who understand . People who do not know God will not go to hell cos they have no idea. But if they are aware of God but choose not to follow then that will have you judged. I hope he finds the truth and when he does share the gospel with your family❤❤❤

If you understand that there are many branches in which a life can take by its decisions made, past and future, and extrapolate the number by the mixing of all people, you will see a tree of [man]’s discernment of function and dysfunction. |God| knows that whole tree, and it’s end is destruction. Though, there is a tree which is abundant life by the will of |God| which |God| loves. That IS the tree of life.

Lots of people hide behind the question of, what about those who Ddnt know about Jesus? God will deal with them in the most justified way possible, WHAT ABOUT YOU WHO KNOW ABOUT HIM. I believe what the bible means about the gospel will be preached all around then the end,it refers to the fact that whoever hears will at some point be 100% convicted even if they suppress it, even if it’s for a minute or two, so that non will have an excuse, showing that the Holy Spirit really did try to save them.
