There seems something intriguing about pink ball Test cricket. This "intrigue" is due to two things. 1- When India bowled under lights, there were several instances where I saw the ball behave in a way that would make it extraordinarily difficult for the batsman. While I was aghast as how our bowlers could not make use of such extraordinarily difficult situation, I also noted that whenever the bowlers tried to correct their line and length the ball would just do something completely unexpected. Here is an example. Bumrah kept bowling his inswingers to McSweeny around just outside the off-stump, and the ball would just swing in a little to be around the off-stump. After trying this thrice, Bumrah tried to pitch the ball on the off stump.., and guess what happened. The ball swung prodigiously, went well wide off the leg stump - resulting in 4 byes. This did not happen once or twice. It happened several times. Good length balls stood out to be hit and seemingly fuller deliveries bounced more than expected. The bowlers thus could not have any control. After I saw Australia finish the day losing just one wicket, what came up next was the reason why my curiosity went up even further. This is what made it more intriguing 2- Mitchell Starc was asked about his ability to take wickets at will with a Pink ball. His answer truly baffled me. He said that he didn't know what makes the pink ball behave the way it does! This is an extraordinary comment coming in from somebody who has picked wickets at will - assuming that he really meant what he said. In essence, I've concluded that pink ball cricket requires a complete rethink. There is something different about it, and we still need to decode it.

It's just one loss and that too against pink ball which moved a lot throughout the day.Gill,Pant,jaiswal all arent that good against swing.Red ball will swing less compared to pink ball and you will see India posting 300+ scores in every innings from now.Our bowlings needs to improve.I predicted 3-2 India before the start of this series and still belive that would be the case.
