How does it perform out of the Box? Day 1 using the INSTA360 X4 with factory settings

Im using it at Sölden right now and its perfect for my use case. Im mainly using the chest mount and the selfie stick, it cought a perfect crash on blue 31 where me and this other guy skiied into eachother lmao (we are fine) Lots of people like me comparing footage with other cameras in the decision process of what to buy dont realise that white ballance and exposure setting can change the image so much, especially for picking up details in the snow and showing mountains in the distance. There is also the fish eye look, for people who don't know, it looks normal when you keep the vertical angle where the lense is pointing, but the more you reframe up/down, the more bent the image gets. Horizontal reframing is fine. I am also using the cloud back up storage, its slow to back up but works as intended. I can get a days footage backed up overnight. Overall 9/10 for this camera but it is more suitable for casual content creation in my opinion.

Only tip id give is to move the camera while moving. Like swing the camera around you then in edit set a point to follow you and it looks really cool

Excellent! I have just subscribed to your channel. Like you, I have just bought an Insta 360x4 . I’m going skiing mid February and I’m very encouraged from what you have shown me in this video. What did you use for post production? Did you just use the phone app or did you use the Desktop app?

@@charleslsegal desktop, the app doesn't work on my phone... And then the video was put together in Clipchamp. I haven't tried editing a full video in 360 studio yet

I would have to pay to export in 4k in my software, and KZbin don't pay me anywhere near enough to make it worth it... But anyway, very few people are going to have a device with 4k screen resolution. Standard HD is 1080p, ultra HD is 1440p and that is already extremely high resolution

How about a 3d printed foldable "rib cage" style frame (flexible) design to grip and grab to stabilise from inside the pack whilst allowing you to.further pack it as normal, my initial started for ten.in this stability solution, think "alien face hugger" !?
