@Bonzo look it up, this idea is outdated and it's not really a thing. Idk if it has some minor aspect but it's definitely not what causes 99% of muscle growth. Muscles have sensors for mechanical tension. Otherwise Cardio for example would be really great for muscle growth as you can get plenty of muscle fiber damage by running etc

So many people still believe the research from the 90’s about muscle damage for some reason. Mechanical tension causes myofilaments in sarcomeres to multiply which eventually ends up in the muscles being bigger and stronger. Muscle damage on the other hand can work against hypertrophy.

Muscle growth isn't mediated by fibre tearing. It is induced by stimulation of high threshold motor units.
@chickenandchips8802 Жыл бұрын
M this is how muscle grows (explained in a couple of words) You have a muscle You put tension in that muscle (by weight lifting) The muscles hurt (your muscles have actually broken up in little parts) Then during recovery those little gaps or tears in your muscle are filled with new muscle. Thus making your muscles bigger. note* you have to be having good nutrition tho to allow this to happen properly.

@@James73059 💀you don’t understand muscle growth, doing 20 push ups everyday is easy for start but even in 1 month, you will feel pain in your chest, in ur triceps, as i look at everything you said i’ll confirm that you have never trained properly, reaching your limits and doing push ups until failure for 1 month (with 72 Hours rest) will give you much better results that doing 20 push ups for whole fucking year, while you push your limits your muscle will need to regenerate which needs FUCKING rest, and it doesn’t only regenerates it addes more muscle aswell, you have decent body as i look at your pfp but trust me the reason you don’t have better physique is that you don’t rest, your muscles are grown in 24 hours rest and if you could rest more you will see your chest growth, tricep growth, overall strenght growth and everything, do the fucking search in everywhere muscle can’t grow properly without rest, and you don’t have to do push ups every day if you don’t want to be lazy🗿you can hit legs some day doing squats and shit, then fill bag with water bottles,books,etc and hit biceps and back, you can hit shoulders as well forearms, abs which is one of the most important thing in boxing and you can do lots of thing there is not only push ups, but whatever you do, just do it with some fucking REST, it’s just as simple as that fam.
